Poor communication, bad neighborhood

Neighborhood was close to downtown Durham but very sketchy. We had a homeless person pound on the front door at 2am. On a separate day, had a homeless person stand by our car door as we pulled into driveway asking for food, money, and water with 4 kids in the car. The house itself was decent but the neighborhood left much to be desired. The host lacked communication. When we contacted for leaking refrigerator and no internet, the response was always,” we will look into it.” This response was to placate me but there was no action.

Expected so much more…

Don’t get me wrong, the place was beautiful. The decor was great, and it was very modern and clean. There were many things wrong with this listing. First of all, there was absolutely no Wi-Fi during the entirety of our trip. Our group tried resetting it, but we had no luck. I was also given the wrong code for the lockbox at check-in. I finally received a call from the host after leaving an angry voicemail (while standing out in the cold), and calling her 4 times. The water dispenser was not working, which I already told her about, because I did not want her to think we broke it during our stay. And there was also mold in the water dispenser, to which I sent her a picture of. So this left us having to buy our own cases of water to accommodate our guests. This place was also listed as accommodating 10 guests, but there was half a roll of paper towel (none other found throughout the entire property), we had 9 people, and did not even have 9 towels for everyone to shower until we had to do laundry, there were towels in the dryer when we arrived at the location (cleaning people left them in there), no dishwasher pods, only one trash bag, no blinds/tints on the back porch or back door (due to the area we were in, this did not make us feel safe as we felt people could easily look into the home). We seriously expected a lot more and are so disappointed, especially for how much we paid.

Beautiful, comfortable home!

Eunice's home is a beautiful home with welcoming decor. Stayed here for a college tour and UNC football game weekend. The home slept 2 adults and 7 teenagers comfortably. Big kitchen with all the amenities and plenty of seating. Very nice bathrooms and so many thoughtful touches throughout the house. Hope to stay again when in the area.
