Overall resort was nice but our room was in an older building
I have mixed feelings about our stay at this property. The overall resort was pretty nice. We enjoyed the pool and putt putt course with our kids and it was close to my mom who lives in the Palm Aire community. However, I was very disappointed with the room and check in process. We arrived around 5:30 pm and were told they didn't have a room for us in one of the newer buildings which are pictured in the listing and have a washer and dryer in unit. So, we were put in the Royal Palm building which was an older 4-story building across the parking lot. The room was very large which was nice but very dark and depressing and had a funky smell. No washer or dryer in unit. We also had to kill a baby roach our second morning there. I would not recommend staying in the Royal Palm or Queen building since those are the oldest. Other guests said that all of the high rise buildings are much nicer. The check-in process was very frustrating because they kept trying to sell me on the timeshare and it took forever. I had to explicitly tell the rep I wasn't interested several times. We did enjoy the pool, sand volleyball courts and putt putt course with the kids. We also liked the close proximity to Palm Aire Publix. It was great to have a full kitchen in the unit. Overall it was a good value and I'd stay again if I could be guaranteed one of the newer rooms that are pictured in the listing.
