This was our second stay at the Whidbey House and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our hosts Rick and Anne were excellent with communication. The property is as described and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home, in an equally beautiful location. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had every tool needed to cook. The hosts were very easy to communicate with.

This is my favorite place to stay on Whidbey Island! I have stayed here twice for several weeks at a time, and frankly it is hard to leave. I usually come to help with my grandkids, so I have not yet had a chance to take advantage of all the amenities offered, but this time I did make time to enjoy the backyard. I live in a city so seeing the stars on several clear nights was an added treat. Anne and Rick are also the most responsive hosts I have enjoyed. I almost feel like I am coming home when I am here. Also I like to cook, and the kitchen is well equipped, which is not always what you find. Whidbey House gets all the stars!

This house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is very well maintained and organized. The owners were in touch several times to make sure everything was okay and available if questions should arise. Very thoughtfully decorated and stocked with all the necessities. Would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay in Freeland! The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. We just wish that we could have stayed longer!

The property was as described. Kitchen amenities were great for eating in, and the property was also conveniently located for eating out. Six of us stayed 4 nights, and the house was a very comfortable size for us. Communication with the host was easy and replies were prompt.

The Whidbey House was perfect! Beautiful home, comfortable and in a very quiet neighborhood! The hosts were great to deal with! We will definitely come back next time we plan a weekend on Whidbey Island.

Could use sharper knives, but truly has everything you need. Best stocked VRBO I have ever stayed. Great communication with the hosts. We were blessed with beautiful weather as well. Enjoyed the wildlife.

Thank you for the kind review and especially for the helpful feedback about the knives. In response, we replaced almost all of the kitchen knives, with the exception of a few special ones that we had professionally sharpened. We also have two sharpeners available for guests: a traditional metal sharpening rod and a high-end electric sharpener. We’re glad you found the house so well stocked and that the weather and wildlife cooperated for your stay. Thanks again for staying with us!

We travel to Whidbey at least once a year to visit family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is as described. We chose this house for its accessibility...my husband had a stroke last year and uses a walker. He was able to maneuver into the house (using the kitchen door) and throughout the house with no issues. He appreciated the ADA accessible master bathroom, and ADA friendly toilet. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and spices. We were able to make meals as if we were in the comfort of our own home. We will stay here again if it is available for our next trip to the island.
