"My Happy Place" at Lake Barkley is a great opportunity to getaway with that special someone for a little rest and relaxation. Enjoy the lake views, hot tub, or the quite time together sitting on the deck. You could also cook that romantic meal that you have been meaning to prepare. While at "My Happy Place" you can also explore all the great things to do in the LBL area; hiking, boating, golfing, and great restaurants. Don't miss your opportunity to plan some quality time together.

Please be aware this is a 600 square feet, one bedroom cottage and it is connected to a second unit that has a separate entrance. The hot tub is exclusively used by guests in "My Happy Place."

NO BOAT DOCK at this home. (Mineral Mound State Park boat ramp and Kuttawa Marina are close.)

Wonderful place

The apartment was beautifully and felt like home. I would most definitely stay agian. The only downside is the water in the hottub smells like it's Molded and needs a good clean out.

Sweet little cottage.

Loved the sweet little cottage like place by the lake. Very clean. Nice and neat place to stay. Very nice owner! Loved the robes. We did have a hard time getting the hot tub settings to go down on the temp. And the WiFi wasn’t the best. But, over all we loved this place. You won’t go wrong by staying here. I’d like to come back! Thanks for having us, Robert.

Cozy

The property is a very intimate setting. All rooms are in close proximity to each other. The hot tub and deck area was great. If you are planning a romantic getaway with just you and your significant other, this is the place.

Couldn’t use the Hot Tub. Dirty. Hit leg on metal bench Because of not enough room to exit bed in bedroom. WiFi in and out mostly out. Good location, clean except For the Hottub

Lake Vacation

Our stay was nice. We had a slight hiccup with check-in, nothing in anyone’s control and owners were super quick to respond and get us in. There were internet issues in the area, again out of anyone’s control and the owner was so great to reach out and attempt to get updates for us. Very much appreciated that! I would highly recommend this property and using any of their other properties! You cannot beat their customer service and caring!

Quaint hideaway

It was a nice and cozy place for me to stay. Wouldn’t work for more than 2 people. Weather was cold and temperamental this week; therefore, I didn’t get to enjoy much of the area. Also the Directv satellite acted up due to weather so I couldn’t use it much. Watched off my phone at night. I would rent it again.

Works well for two

Property was cute. It worked well for two people only. The kitchen was great. I have nothing bad to say about it other than the bed was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs of the bed in our backs. The hot tub was the main reason we booked this property and it was disappointing that the jets were outside of the water. The water was very very low.

Great space

This was the perfect place for my husband and I. The space was very clean and had all we needed. The view was beautiful from the deck and the hot tub was great durning the cold nights. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. We would stay there again if in the area. Thanks to the owners for an easy booking, check in and out.

Quick vacay and family visit

This place was perfect for two. It has everything you need. Full size fridge, kitchen appliances for cooking, and bonus dishwasher made things easy for cleaning up. Wifi and TV were great for a couple rainy days we had. Hot tub worked fine. Only things I didn't like was the bed wasn't comfortable, way too firm for a side sleeper and pillows are a bit flat. Rugs in bedroom and living room would have made it feel more cozy, the hard floors felt a bit sticky. Stairs leading to entrance are fine...but made carrying a cooler a team effort. Overall would recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay. It’s perfect for two people. It would have been a bit nicer if we had a direct lake view but there is a view of the lake with houses in front of it. The unit is well equipped with whatever you need for a short stay. There was an issue with trash being left and the couch being broken- the owner was quick to respond and refunded the cleaning fee, per my request. The hot tub is nice to have but it doesn’t get very hot - max is 104 degrees. Otherwise, cute little place to stay within quick driving distance to fun activities.

Great Short Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very nice and just the right size for my husband and I. Even though there were houses between is and the lake the views from the balcony were nice. We spent late evenings and mornings on the deck. Would stay there again.
