Cozy little lakeside cottage with AMAZING views of beautiful Clinton lake. Set on the front deck and listen to all the sounds of nature while watching all the activity on the lake!! What a great place to unwind. Serene and private setting. This peaceful country property will allow you to unwind and forget about all your worries of everyday life. Custom kitchen cabinets with quartz counter tops and an island large enough to seat 12. The kitchen is the front of the cottage so everyone can enjoy the view while cooking, dining or playing games. One bedroom and bathroom are found on main level and the remaining beds andsecond bedroomsre found in the walkout basement. This cottage is one you will book again and again.

We have plenty of boat trailer parking on the property. The property to the West is private property but feel free to park your boat outside the fence on either side of drive or backed in by dumpster. The yard is not fully fenced in.

Weekend getaway

Cottage has an amazing view of the lake and only 5 minutes from the marina. We had fun in the sun and would definitely go back!

Great place for friends to gather

Convenient location next to a gorgeous lake. The town is nearby if you need anything. The house is well furnished. We would happily return to this gem of a spot.

Beautiful Lake House in the Country

The house was gorgeous and very cute. Our dog loved running around the yard and sniffing out the wildlife. House was well cared for and clean. The kitchen is well stocked.

We took our family here for the weekend to celebrate our engagement. It was beautifully set up and decorated! Loved all the thoughtful touches! Easiest to-do checkout I’ve ever had with a VRBO, too! Would stay at again!

Peaceful & Perfect

Everything about this home is comfortable and conducive to a relaxing time watching the lake and listening to the sounds of nature. The decor in the room truly embodies the nautical theme and really adds to the joy of the home. We were visiting family in the area and can't wait to return to stay in Charlie's Cottage.

Cozy, Comfortable and Great Location

We had a quick, after the holidays, visit with family. This home had plenty of room for our family of 4 and my brother's family. The furnishings were comfortable. We especially liked the soft blankets. I will recommended this property to friends and family.

Amazing Property

We had a great weekend retreat focused on rest and relaxation. The Lakeside cottage was beautiful and our only complaint was the weather wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the back deck. I strongly recommend this beautiful place for a small group! Thanks to the hosts for a great property!

INCREDIBLE & peaceful getaway!!

This cottage is lovely, with every amenity you can imagine in a beautiful, quiet, peaceful setting. Comfy beds, comfy seating in a relaxed, welcoming decor. You have a full view of the lake. I can't say enough about how WONDERFUL, helpful & accomadating the hosts were.

Couples weekend

Charlie’s cottage was amazing. The house was so clean and comfortable. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of space for us. The cottage is very well stocked. If you are looking to shut off and relax this is the perfect place. The owners Susie and Steve very so quick to respond to question /suggestions. Would definitely rent here again.

This house has everything you need and more! Great use of space and the decor is so fun!!! We were boating and this place was so convenient! The owners are so sweet. We forgot a few items and they graciously mailed them back to us!

Great girl's getaway!

Charlie's cottage is wonderful; even better than the listing shows! Beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you could need, this house was perfect for our girl's getaway. We spent most of our time sitting on the big deck enjoying the view of the lake and the pretty grounds. Huge kitchen made cooking a breeze. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful weekend!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with friends at Charlie’s Cottage. Perfect amenities and so close to the lake it maximized our weekend. The kitchen is well equipped for any meal - from simple to gourmet. And we loved the island where we comfortably gathered. A lot of attention to detail. We hope to be back next year!

Susie is from Clinton and has been a business owner in the area her entire adult life. Steve is from the Monmouth area making Dewitt County his home for the last 3 decades. We love traveling and staying in vacation rentals
Because they feel like home away from home! Clinton Lake is such an asset to our community we felt it was a logical place for a lakeside rental.

We have admired this property for years so we jumped on the chance to purchase it when it came available. Great Lake views and love the sounds of happiness coming off the lake while enjoying the front deck.

Right in the middle of both the Marina and Mascoutin boat launches the perfect location for boaters, fisherman or just those that find peace in water views. Our family often walk across from the property and down the embankment to enjoy lake swims.
