Charming cottage in Saint Remy de Provence, 4-5 people with pool and garden
Welcome to our beautiful cottage, located in a very quiet area of Saint Remy, at the end of a private street, 10min walk from downtown, 3min walk from the Convent “Saint Paul de Mausole” where Vincent Van Gogh spent some time while painting the area, and 5min away from the heart of the Alpilles for all of your favorite outdoor activities.
We've been hosting guests at our other property nearby for 15 years, and can't wait to host you in our newest cottage!
Saint Rémy de Provence is a typical Provencal village, located close to Avignon and the famous village of Les Baux de Provence. Take a stroll in the village and enjoy its stunning architecture, local lifestyle, delicacies, traditions and delicious restaurants. On Wednesdays, make sure to discover the Provencal market, one of the best in the area!
Inside The House:
The house has been fully refurbished in 2021 (including the pool and landscaped garden). It is very comfortable (no stairs!), and features a living room with a wood stove, a dining room for 6 people to eat in… or work remotely.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to make your stay feel at home: a large fridge/freezer, oven and stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, coffee maker, expresso maker, boiler, toaster.
There are two bedrooms with a sleep capacity of 4 people, and the sofas in the living room can serve as a bed for a 5th person if need be.
The first bedroom is South-facing and has a Queen size bed, a wardrobe for your personal effects and a little desk. The second bedroom, facing West, offers either a king size bed or two twin beds (depending on your sleeping arrangement needs) and a large wardrobe.
The bathroom is typical of French houses: we separate bathroom from toilet (due to our much smaller spaces, most likely!). You’ll be able to enjoy the large shower and plenty of cupboard space for your personal effects.
Outdoor:
What we love most about the house are the large French doors that open onto the South-facing patio. Bask in the sun or enjoy a barbecued meal on the plancha. Would you happen to prefer the shade in those hot summer afternoons, you’ll find a table and chairs to the back of the house, out of the kitchen.
Take a dip in the swimming pool (5x5m ) that has secured access, and lounge on it's long chairs. The landscaped garden is planted with an olive tree, lavender, rosemary, and flowers. A gardener takes care of it on a weekly basis.
Access:
You access the property through a private lane and there is enough space to park two cars. The house is a short 10-min walk from the village, which will make each of your trips very convenient.

Anfitrión: Anne-Sophie & Neil
We are Anne-Sophie and Neil, a French-Canadian couple. Anne-Sophie has been vacationing in Saint Remy de Provence for the past 25 years and introduced Neil to it when he travelled to Provence for the first time in 2015. He immediately fell in love with the area and when, in 2020, we had the opportunity to purchase what we affectionately call “Le Petit Saint Rémy”, we jumped on it!
We spent 2021 renovating the house, building the pool and planting the garden (the last project will be a new and improved bathroom for the Fall!). While we have 10-year experience with hosting a larger nearby rental (up to 10 guests ), we are ready and excited to welcome our first guests in our charming cottage !

We love everything about this area of Provence! The light, the smells, the markets, the Alpilles, the culture, a short day-trip to the sea ,… It truly has it all!
Besides, the house is perfectly located: thanks to a little walking path, we are 5min away from walking under the shaded trees of the Alpilles, and we’re only 10min walk from downtown Saint Remy (which is highly convenient on these crowded market days!). Being at the end of a private lane in a private street, it is very quiet and in the evening you can enjoy the famous starry nights!
We love the size of the house, which is comfortable for a couple or a small family, that encourages some lounging around and makes moving around to go see the area very convenient.
Finally, Saint Remy is lovely and lively, traditional and modern at the same time, cultural and gastronomic,… It has it all! Conveniently located 20min drive from the train Station Avignon TGV, and 1hr and 2hr respectively from Marseille and Nice airports, it is ideal to access.
