Modern Cottage on the Susquehanna River

Located directly on the Susquehanna River in The Endless Mountains, “The Eagles Nest" has all the modern amenities you need, while still making you feel cozy and at home in this charming cottage. Enjoy dinner on the 3 season porch or relax on the large deck and watch the Eagles and wildlife from the perfect vantage point. Families and friends can kayak, fish or simply lounge and read a book. Bring your boat and launch directly from the property (we highly recommend a 4WD truck to launch your boat). In the evenings you can have a campfire (wood is supplied for you) or light the propane fireplace on the deck. And if you want to leave the house, you can take a 15 minute drive to Tunkhannock to visit the wineries or antique stores. The vacation possibilities are endless!

The pictures truly don’t do this place justice, amazing views!! The home itself was immaculate, we found every room to be extremely clean. The air conditioning was a life saver during our stay for sure. Plenty of games and things to do during our stay supplied by the host. Host was very responsive and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking again!!

Holly was a pleasure to work with from booking to checking in she was great! I stayed with my wife, son and our dog and they all loved it. The place was very clean and had everything you needed except your food of course. The views at this place were amazing!! We spent our days kayaking and fishing by the lake and enjoyed the restaurants in town. If your looking for a great fishing charter look up 2fish guide service, Doug is amazing and kept us on fish for 4 hours. If you're looking for a relaxing stay and amazing views this is the place. We will definitely be back!!

Excellent stay for the month while working nearby. No issues at all with any part of the rental. The water filtering mechanism is a great seller. So good i am testing my water at my home in Maine and will be installing the same type of unit. Heating and AC were great and needed both at different times of the stay. The mattress' in the main floor, only floor used, were also the best I have rented in the many years of working on the road. Communication was 10/10 also. A great stay!

Great stay

This was our 4th time staying at this property and we had an amazing time. We love the view from the porch and the kayaking. Will definetely be back next year.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this home in Pennsylvania. It was completely relaxing and tranquil, exactly what we needed. The property is beautifully maintained and offers plenty of amenities that made our stay comfortable and stress-free.We especially appreciated the special touches throughout the house. You can tell the hosts truly care about their guests’ experience. And the view? Absolutely amazing. Waking up to that scenery each day was unforgettable.We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Relaxing Stay!

The house is well appointed and so clean! The view from the deck and the location are amazing. We were out on the river everyday fishing, swimming and kayaking. Overall, a really nice place to reconnect with family and relax.

first time at Eagles Nest and we can’t wait to come back. Absolutely amazing snowy peaceful stay with our pups. best way to welcome 2026. you can’t beat the panoramic views and beautiful icy river flowing in the back. house was comfy, clean, & great amenities. Couldn’t get enough of the porch and the swing. hopefully we’ll be back to experience the warmer weather and all this place has to offer. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The accommodation was delightful! Gorgeous views, beautifully appointed home that addressed every convenience, great place for our dogs and for us in every way. We were able to prepare all our meals there with ease. Holly is on top of everything and great to work with.

The Perfect River Retreat!

I highly recommend this cottage on the river…a very relaxing and peaceful setting with all the amenities needed for a great vacation. The owner is super responsive and we could not have been happier with the accommodations!

10/07/25. We enjoyed our visit very much. The house is immaculate. The neighborhood is so quiet. We spent most of our time just relaxing on the deck watching the herons and eagles. There's games, books, kayaks, etc. available

We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest. The property was even better in-person than in photos, and the layout was perfect for our two families. The kids loved the loft. The deck was the perfect place to relax and eat meals. Owner very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful View

We had an amazing time staying here. The home was beautiful and very clean. The card and bottle of wine was a very nice gesture and the view from the deck was amazing. We will definitely be staying here again.

The property perfectly accommodated 2 adults, 4 teens snd 2 dogs. There was plenty of parking. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and spending time by the fire. The kitchen is very well stocked. Pictures don’t do this location justice.

Peaceful Getaway- Wonderful Hosts and location

My husband and I celebrated my 50th birthday with our dogs at Eagles Nest. The kayaking and accessibility to the river was so convenient. It was great to connect with nature in this busy world. We will be staying here again!
