Quaint Stream Side Garden Flat

This "garden flat" is a newly renovated basement of our cottage. It can be rented with cottage or separately. It has a separate entry way then our main cottage rental. Its complete with a lovely bedroom (Queen bed), bathroom, coffee nook (mini fridge and microwave too), comfy couch and HUGE TV. Its on the edge of a valley next to a quaint stream and a small herd of adorable goats. The valley is stunning in almost all weather but especially on foggy mornings. Note Quiet hours 10pm-8am

This property was exactly as advertised. Perfect for 2-3 people. Had a comfortable queen-sized bed with ample pillows, sheets/blankets. Well-stocked bathroom and shower, a sectional couch, and even a refrigerator and microwave. It’s only 7 miles from Miami University which was convenient for us to visit our college student. Check in & out could not have been any easier!! Would book again, in fact, I tried and it’s already booked up! Thank you for allowing me to stay at your lovely place. P.S. I also enjoyed watching the fenced in goats on the property :)

Immaculate, adorable, 1-room basement walkout apartment. Loved the location. On a quaint farm with a herd of goats right outside. Fall asleep to the sounds of the babbling brook. Loved it!

This cottage is simply wonderful. I've stayed at the lower level garden flat as well as the larger second floor suite multiple times visiting my daughter at Miami over the past four years. Both units are extremely clean and very comfortable. The beds, sheets, towels furniture, kitchen stock: all thoughtful. Recommend this beautiful place 100%.

Close to the University; but far enough away from the noise and traffic. Just right from a distance stand point. We had to arrive late and leave early so sadly we had no time to enjoy the beautiful patio with porch swing or (kids) baby goats. They were so quiet that we didn't even know they were there until the morning. Must be some kind of rare silent breed of goat, or maybe they are just very content. Either way, they were very quiet and fun to watch. They also did not try to climb their fence. Truly the most chill goats I have ever seen. The unit (lower level) was clean, quaint, and cozy. Bed was just right - not too soft or too firm. This would be an ideal rental for an author or artist - peaceful and comfortable. There were several areas that were built or decorated with repurposed materials - which is Awesome! The owner definitely put a lot of time and thought into this place. The only potential improvement I can think of would be to add a motion sensing floodlight to shine on the sloped path from the parking area - for moonless or cloudy nights.

Very Cute Place to Stay!

The property is very cute and cozy. There is a stream of water just nestled in the woods. Our kids loved looking at the goats and bunnies. It's a great place for a little retreat.

Great location with an easy drive to Oxford. Nice setting. Clean and comfortable. Like others said, you can hear the people upstairs moving around but white noise helps with that, and they provide a white noise machine. Just what I needed to meet up with an old college friend at Miami.

Love this property! I have stayed in both the lower and the upper larger area and both accommodations are just wonderful! The cottage is so comfortable, quiet, clean… will always look forward to staying here.

We had the nicest stay at this property. It's quiet, cozy and we loved the goats just outside of our window. Beautiful little farm stay!

The room includes a queen bed, a comfy couch, a coffee nook, bathroom, and a huge TV. The property is located on a small rural farm. It feels tucked away with plenty of nature surrounding.

This is located on a homestead farm. You may request a farm tour if you wish. There are goats not far from Garden Flat that you are welcome to visit. There is also a quaint stream at the bottom of the hill/valley.
