Good place for a short stay

Good property for a family of 4. Location is great. Easy accessibility to everything. One of the bathroom shower was not working. But overall stay was good.

Awesome Place to Stay!!

The experience of this place was tranquility when you needed the peace and quite and exciting and fun when you were in the mood. The place is close proximity to grocery stores, eatery and games for the children. Awesome experience!!! I can't wait until next year.

Long Weekend at The Islander

I imagine that our host Cindy is wonderful, but I never had to speak to her since everything was so easy in regards to our stay! Check-in was made very easy with the availability of luggage carts and shopping carts (great idea) and the front desk clerk. The unit was very clean and well appointed with beach towels and everything we needed to start our stay. The Islander’s two pools are great, and the beach access is just a minute or two walk. The beach attendant took care of the umbrella and two chairs that are a part of the rental, which was very nice!! The umbrella was huge! The location of The Islander to restaurants and family fun activities is very convenient as well.

If you are looking for immaculate this is not your place, the showers have caulking that’s moldy and falling out the bed is very hard and the pillows are basically pillow cases. If you just need a place to lay your head and want beach service it’s fine

Good Overall

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 4th time we've stayed a the Islander. We LOVE the location, beach access, and chair set up. Overall the place is GREAT! This particular unit is probably the lowest grade we have stayed in. It definitely needs some updating. The photos on the website no longer reflect the decor & furniture. The couch specifically needs replacing or at least the cushions replaced. We didn't use the pull out sofa feature. The bottom cushions have no cushion left. It was like sitting on the frame of the couch and no support. The pillows on the bed are FLAT! Thankfully we brought our own. The biggest complaint is the 2nd bedroom. The windows have only sheer curtains and the lights & sun shine directly into the room making it bright no matter the time of day or night. We put pillows in the window to help so our kids could sleep. The fan in the primary bedroom did not work. The chain was inside the light fixture. Thankfully my hubby was able to fix it. There was only the sheet and a light blanket on the primary bed. Didn't find the bedspread/comforter until the last night. The wires & install of the tvs were all over the place! For a place to sleep it was fine. It definitely isn't a top of the line place which is fine just not the same experience we've had in the past.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it’s a really nice place. The ac wasn’t really strong enough to keep our room as cool as we’d like. When we arrived there was still debris in the master bath( the top to an aerosol can of sorts). That just makes you wonder about the attention to detail. If that was neglected, what else was left undone.

Unit needs some attention

The couch in our unit was old and uncomfortable. Living room only had 2 table lamps with dark shades. Could not read.. Bathroom tub/showers were a death trap. Climb in, slick, nothing to hold on to, very old fixtures.

False advertisement

The property states it’s beach front. It is not. You can see the ocean from the balcony but you have to walk the entire property to get to the beach access point. The master bedroom is the hottest room in the condo. My husband and I slept separately for two nights because it was so warm in the bedroom. (I slept on the couch.) It may have been better if we could have turned the air down past 67. We found a box fan in the closest and had to sit it in the master bedroom door entry to get any kind of relief. We barely slept. We are looking forward to getting home and sleeping in a cool bedroom and catching up on the sleep we did not get on this trip.
