We stayed in late spring/early summer. Place was as advertised…very nice on the inside and clean. 30 foot cliff down to the water was a bit of a surprise but certainly not a deal breaker. Swallows swooping in and out were fun to watch.

This is a beautiful and excellent place to stay. The only drawback is traffic noise. It is set back from a somewhat busy street but you still hear cars and trucks going by. We live in a city so are used to that noise, but if you aren't, you may find this annoying.

A nice house in a beautiful location - what a great getaway! The only drawback is the noise from East Lake Road can be a bit much at times. That said, we'll still be back :)

The house was very clean. The hot tub was wonderful. The cleanest one we have ever used while staying at a rental. The host was very attentive to our needs and questions before and during our stay and provided us with supplies we needed! The views were beautiful and gorgeous sunsets. You could hear the waves from the house and see the lake from the bed which was restful. We found great restaurants in Wilson and Lockport.

Everything we wanted

Great location with such a wonderful view. We spent almost all our time in the backyard just soaking in the relaxation. Very private and an added bonus of washer and dryer which we needed.

Peaceful

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The house was nice, but the location was great! It was about 40 minutes from Niagara Falls but the best part was Olcott Beach which was about a 2 minute drive. We met the nicest people and will definitely be back.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Some stains on the carpet that could use shampooing. Would suggest more towels, especially kitchen towels as well as a large pot for cooking spaghetti/corn on the cob. Did not use hot tub. There was some sand and a few leaves in it. However, I would stay here again. The view is beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.

We rented the “Sunflower Cottage" the last weekend in June and had an amazing time. We were passing through on our way to Toronto and found the town of Olcott/Burt area, as we wanted to stop for a few days and fish Lake Ontario. We were blown away with everything from the great location to the beauty of the cottage itself. Check-in could not have been easier and communication leading up to our stay was amazing. We got there late on Friday and were a bit nervous because it was dark, it would be difficult to locate. However, the owners clear instructions made finding the cottage very easy and entry was seamless into the cottage. The house was extremely clean and everything was provided. Sheets were already on the beds (I have stayed places where that is not the case) and towels were also provided. The cottage was decorated so nicely and was extremely comfortable. The TV had tons of channels and access to most apps so we were not lacking for things to watch. An added bonus for me was that there was a standup fan provided which made sleeping extra comfortable. Everything was updated inside, while still keeping the cottage vibe. The view was beautiful as it is right on the lake. There is a hot tub, that we didn’t get to use, a brand new grill and Adirondack chairs around a fire pit overlooking the water. The only downside was there was a significant drop off to get to the water, so if you are looking to fish from the property, it would be nearly impossible.

Great cottage for two

I stayed here while visiting family with my sister. Very clean and suited our needs well. The hot tub was a nice added bonus. The only thing I would suggest is more lighting in the living spaces as it is hard to read at night. Thank you!

What a view of Lake Ontario!

While the house itself is very cozy and comfortable, you are going to want to spend your time in the backyard which overlooks Lake Ontario. What an amazing view! We enjoyed watching the waves and sunsets by the fire pit, grilling out, and playing with our dog (we had to leave before trying out the hot tub). Great for a relaxing getaway and a half hour from Niagara Falls - highly recommend!

A beautiful location with a cottage that is begining to show its age. Sliding door to the outside was very difficult to open, one window with a broken crank, lights that didn't work, Adirondack chairs that could not be adjusted and then were uncomfortable, privacy curtains around the hot tub were shredded and holey not to mention the rotting hot tub cover. But the view is fantastic, the kitchen while small is quite efficient, the fire pit is wonderful, it was great to have a propane grill, the bed very comfy and overall we had a good stay.
