Oma's House is a peaceful retreat with historic charm, centrally located, and minutes away from the Abilene Convention Center, Downtown, SODA District, Abilene Christian University, and Hendricks Hospital North.

The property features a large fenced in back yard, gazebo with outdoor seating and basketball court. Balls and chalk are provided for an impromptu game of hopscotch or four square. There is also a large selection of board games for that perfect family game night.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils, as well as basic spices.

Beautiful place to stay charming

On the house is precious and cute. There were plenty of linens and towels for us to use and the check in process was super easy. We hope to stay here in the future.

We stayed for one night passing through. The house was clean, stocked and very comfortable! If we pass through Abilene another time, we’d stay here again!

Great spring break stay

We had a great experience at Oma’s house. The home was well maintained, the decor was cute, everything u needed was easily accessible, we felt safe and enjoyed the back yard. Host was very responsive. Would stay there again for sure.

This home is very nicely cleaned and decorated. It is very well appointed with renter items.It has a nice backyard for pets or sitting in.The neighbors are a bit sketchy so just be aware and make sure you get the check in entry code in advance of arriving because ours did not work! but I have to compliment the host for rectifying the issue quickly to the best of her ability. I would rent this home again.

House was very, very old. Smelled funny. Kinda like your old grandma’s house. Right down to the furniture. Furniture in the “living room” needs to be updated. Very uncomfortable needs, furniture. Highly priced for what we received. Air conditioner barely kept it in the low 80’s. Single unit in the “living room”, which was upstairs (off) kept it at about 77. I’m used to 70 degrees, so it was miserable to me. Checked out a day early from a two night stay because the heat in the house and the” furniture” being so uncomfortable. I would never stay in a place like this again and had we not been to where we would have lost money, and have a hard time finding a hotel to take our dogs, I would have turned right back around and left.

It had plenty of amenities. Everything was labeled for easy find. The beds were super comfortable. Glad for the extra new and individual toiletries since our niece forgot her toothbrush.

Cute house with great furnishings! Very nice home with a number of amenities included. I would say the only downside was there was no downstairs seating area. I think the rooms could’ve been configured better to make the downstairs have the living space instead of the upstairs. I had a guest with a bad knee who unfortunately could not get up the stairs. Other than that the home was very lovely.

Great family home

The place was perfect for our big family, giving everyone space to sleep and to hang out. We were visiting Hardin-Simmons, and if my son ends up going there, we'll bookmark this place for future visits to Abilene.
