The Space:

Welcome to The Birdhouse, a refreshed retro mountain cabin tucked into Snowline, a gated forest community near Mt. Baker. Designed for couples, small families and mountain weekends, this cozy retreat sleeps up to 4 and combines classic cabin character with some especially thoughtful comforts for a stay in the mountains.



After a day at Mt. Baker, come home to a private covered hot tub tucked behind a privacy fence, warm up beside the wood stove, and settle in for a quiet evening surrounded by evergreens. A whole home generator adds extra peace of mind during mountain weather, while the Level 2 EV charger makes electric-vehicle travel easier.

The laundry and gear room is particularly useful after wet or snowy days, giving boots, jackets and equipment a place to land without taking over the living space. High speed fiber WiFi makes it easy to stream, stay connected or add a little remote work to a longer mountain stay.



Outside, the covered deck offers space to relax among the trees, while the private hot tub is ready year round. In summer, guests can also enjoy Snowline's seasonal community amenities, including the heated outdoor pool. The community pool is a summer-only amenity and is closed during fall and winter.



Snowline's peaceful forest setting puts you close to the outdoor experiences that make the Mt. Baker area special, from skiing and snowshoeing in winter to hiking, rafting, fishing and exploring the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest during warmer months.



The Birdhouse is not an oversized mountain lodge. It is a cozy, character-filled cabin that makes an especially good home base for two people, a small family or anyone who would rather spend the day exploring and the evening soaking in a hot tub beside the forest.

The Neighborhood:

The Birdhouse is located inside Snowline, a peaceful gated community tucked into the forest in Glacier near Mt. Baker. Towering evergreens, walking paths and access toward the Nooksack River give the neighborhood a quiet, park-like feel while keeping you well positioned for mountain adventures.



Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately 25 to 30 minutes away, making Snowline an excellent home base for ski and snowboard weekends. In warmer seasons, the surrounding area opens up to hiking, mountain biking, rafting, fishing and exploring the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.



Snowline also offers community recreation areas, including a playground, tennis courts and open green space. The heated outdoor community pool is seasonal and available during summer only, typically from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Other Things to Note:

The Birdhouse is located in a rural mountain environment, and a little preparation goes a long way toward an easy stay.



Winter travel: Snow and ice are common during winter. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended when winter conditions are possible.



Wood stove: Guests are welcome to use the wood stove. Please bring firewood or plan to purchase it locally.



Parking: Parking is limited to the driveway. Snowline does not permit street parking, and vehicle information is required before arrival.



Internet and cell service: The home has high-speed fiber WiFi. Cell coverage in Glacier and the surrounding mountains can still vary by carrier, so we recommend downloading directions and check-in information before heading up the mountain.



Mountain weather: Storms, snow, wind and falling trees can occasionally affect regional utilities and services. The Birdhouse has a whole home generator for added peace of mind.



Wildlife: This is a forested mountain setting shared with local wildlife. Please keep food, coolers and garbage indoors and never leave food outside.



Groceries and dining: Restaurant and grocery options become limited as you travel farther up Mt. Baker Highway, so stocking up before arrival is a good idea, particularly for longer stays.



Snowline pool: The community pool is a seasonal summer amenity and is closed during fall and winter.
