Enjoyed our stay in a cosy house. It had what we needed. It’s close to the Angus glens which are well worth a visit. Also the town nearby. The conservatory is ideal for sitting in early morning or afternoon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Caliscotia and thought that it was really good value for money. Some might feel that the decor is a little dated but for me, that just added to its charm. The check-in process was easy and the co-host, Stephanie, was very helpful and welcoming. It's in a quiet rural setting but it's only about half an hour's drive from Dundee or Arbroath. I'd definitely recommend a stay there.

A lovely inviting cottage with panoramic scenic views.The cottage has all the requirements for a comfortable stay.The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook your own food.The Host Stephanie was always available at the end of the phone (if need be) and was very friendly and welcoming.The cottage is Dog friendly if you have a hairy friend,We would certainly recommend staying at the cottage.

Great place to stay, stunning garden and view. Very quiet and peaceful location. Well located with lots to do. House has everything you need and I liked the homely furnishing.

Got to Go To Caliscotia

A Lovely. peaceful cottage with very scenic views. Everything that anyone would want for a perfect stay. Very friendly and accommodating Hosts. Overall the perfect relaxing stay in very comfortable surroundings. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Everything wonderful

Great stay; great clean, comfortable and warm cottage with an outrageously good view from the conservatory and an amazing back and front garden. Can’t fault this place. Really brilliant all round

Magical garden

The view from the garden was magical. The cottage was perfect for staying with friends and the sun was out all weekend which made the weekend even better.

Room with a view

We had stayed at this cottage 2 years ago and been impressed by its location and its beautiful garden. We were just as impressed this time, the views from the conservatory are lovely. We will certainly consider visiting again in the future.

Compact but comfortable

Very pleasant cottage with everything you need for self catering holiday. Some nice homely touches. Great outdoor space and conservatory with fabulous views. Good location for exploring. Would be very tight for five people as its a compact use of space. Worked great for us.

Forfar

Enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed and was comfy and in a quiet spot. It was mixed weather but the house was warm and the conservatory was ideal. Great views from it. Ideal spot to travel to the surrounding places of interest. Saw Forfar beat East Fife and then fish and chips. Ideal.

Happy holidays

Lovely cottage. Steph a great help. Perfect for our wee dog. Don’t go with the leaflets that are there. They’re years out of date for eating and the butcher. Thoroughly enjoyed our week and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Even the weather was beautiful.

Communication with host

I found it awkward to have to login to stays to communicate with the host. With other stays I have found that the host reaches out through email, which is much more convenient.

Nice little quirky cottage with a nice conservatory and great outdoor space for my two dogs in a very quiet and peaceful area.Unfortunately, the cottage ran out of oil for the heating and hot water after the host was informed there was enough to last the duration of our visit. Hopefully, they learn from this and don't gamble with oil levels, especially in the colder months.This was sorted with storage heaters, but not ideal as we still had no hot water to wash hands or dishes. The savior was that the shower was electric, so we could still shower.The cooker has also seen better days; it could do with being replaced or even an addition of an air fryer if not wanting to go to the expense of a new cooker, especially for longer duration bookings.All of that aside it is still very good value for money and would definitely return later in the year

I, (89) stayed four nights with my son (63). We were very comfortable. The cottage is well stocked with everything one might need for a long term stay, even some DIY tools. I broke the chain on the plug of the kitchen sink but thanks to the tools was able to fix it. Ipnever met Stephani but messaged her and found her extremely helpful answering my texts instantly. There are many small things that one, used to living in the lap of luxury, might do to the property to improve it, but they are not essentials. I give this property 150/100% but would deduct 5% because of a very weak shower. That still gives it 145/100%. Stephani did agree to pop over to have a look at the shower but I stopped her. Overall an excellent retreat in a beautiful location with an excellent and willing host. I highly recommend it. I think with its central heating it would be a cosy place for a wnter

Excellent experience

It is lovely home. Very much impressed. Thanks to Staph . Bedrooms and sitting room are good size . kitchen and toilet need some improvement. Who like natural beauty and a rural location this is an ideal place to stay with family. Thanks louis.
