Pretty French Farmhouse in peaceful country location with terrace and garden

Ty Hir is a traditional, rural, two bedroom self catering holiday cottage situated in the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside of Finistere. Ideally located near to the pretty town of Huelgoat with its lake and mysterious forest to explore together with a selection of bars, restaurants and shops including a patisserie, boulangerie and a supermarket. In the nearby village of Plouye you will also find the well known Welsh pub Tavarn Ty Elise with its rustic charm and welcoming atmosphere. Plouye also has two other bars including a tabac with a small shop. You will also find a restaurant bar in the village of Collorec which serves plat du jour at lunchtime and 'a la carte' meals in the evening. The property has a well equipped farmhouse kitchen, lounge with TV, DVD player and Freesat TV together with complimentary Wifi. A south facing terrace to the front of the property provides outdoor eating area and you will have the use of the front lawned garden. Garden furniture is supplied. Ty Hir is the perfect place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life

J’ai passé une magnifique semaine au mois d’août dans cette superbe maison située au cœur de la campagne finistérienne. C’était exactement ce que je recherchais : une demeure pleine de charme, à l’écart, avec un très beau jardin et un calme absolu.Les hôtes, un couple anglais, ont été d’une grande gentillesse. Ils aiment discuter, et il est utile de pouvoir échanger un minimum en anglais, mais leurs attentions et leur accueil chaleureux rendent le séjour très agréable.La maison est aussi parfaitement située pour découvrir le Finistère : à égale distance entre les côtes nord, est et ouest, ce qui permet de rayonner facilement dans la région. Entre verdure, mer proche et habitants sympathiques, c’était une véritable retraite paisible, idéale pour se ressourcer.Un séjour inoubliable que je recommande vivement. -- I spent a wonderful week in August in this beautiful house located in the heart of the Finistère countryside. It was exactly what I was looking for: a charming home, secluded, with a lovely garden and absolute tranquility.The hosts, an English couple, were extremely kind. They enjoy chatting, their warm welcome and attentiveness made the stay very pleasant.The house is also perfectly located to explore Finistère: at equal distance from the north, east, and west coasts, making it easy to travel around the region. Surrounded by greenery, close to the sea, and with such friendly people, it was truly a peaceful retreat

Tranquillité et découverte de notre Bretagne.

Jolie longère idéalement située pour randonner et découvrir la Bretagne intérieure. Nous avions un espace extérieur dédié à la farniente et la détente. Lorsque la météo le permettait, nous avons pu profiter du jardin, pour manger, prendre l'apéritif, lire sur les transats et le mobilier mis à disposition. La maison est spacieuse pour 2 couples et bien aménagée avec 2 salons joliment meublés. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Un bémol: la barrière de la langue entre nous(nous ne maitrisons pas l'anglais et les propriétaires le français) n'a pas favorisé des échanges développés que nous aimons avoir avec nos hôtes. Cependant, grâce à Google translate, nous avons pu communiquer sur l'essentiel. Les propriétaires sont disponibles et très gentils. Merci à eux de nous avoir fait connaître la Tavern Ty Elise à Plouyé, lieu de rencontre et de convivialité que nous avons bien apprécié!

If you are looking for fast,noisy, vibrant 24/7 action this isn't for you!

Its location is primed for relaxation and solitude. Plentiful space to roam and wild life to nurture. Fishing within 500 meters of the property at the River Ellez and there are also structured walking routes locally. The Nantes Brest Canal is within easy cycling distance with the opportunity to explore Finistere and further afield. Bird watching is also a pass time that is also rewarded by the plethora of bird species that inhabit the local countryside.
Bars and restaurants are found locally and in the larger towns and supply a varied selection of quality food and drink. Our favorite pass time is the star gazing on clear evenings when the milky way can be seen with the naked eye and viewed with no light pollution to diminish the experience.
Deer and wild Boar sightings are not unknown along with the local horses grazing in the field these factor enhance the quality of the "Ty Hir" experience.

The property has plentiful character mixed with comfortable living in mind. A place to relax and recharge. The location is within one hour in three directions(West,North,South) of the coast of Finistere and has the Beautiful Cities of Brest and Quimper within easy reach. The Celtic heritage of the area is easy to see and Huelgoat forrest a must see for those visiting the area.
