Lakefront cottage on rustic setting in cove

This is my beautiful home on Lake Oconee. The 0.6 acre wooded lot magnifies the great outdoors surrounding this 2 bedroom, 2 bath retreat from the world. Tucked away in a private cove it features a big water view just right around the point from Sugar Creek Marina. Relax by the fire pit on the hill or take off from your dock to enjoy the great water of Lake Oconee. Canoe available or dock your own boat. Electricity available on the dock. You will be surrounded by nature and woods. Three friendly outdoor neighborhood cats may come to visit. Your own pet is also welcome. The open floor plan has the great room attached to the kitchen filled with new appliances and plenty of cabinet space. Beyond the great room is an outdoor porch with ceiling and open deck overlooking the water. Bathe leisurely in the antique claw foot tub upstairs or choose the downstairs shower. Two bedrooms sleep four and you can climb the ladder to the bonus room to sleep two more. TVs with Roku are ready to watch in the living room and queen bedroom. Fire TV in the full bedroom. Get ready to spend your time on the lake!

Great place to stay. Beautiful. Quiet. Great views of the lake. Very clean and just a quaint little place you can go and get away from all the noise and busyness of life.

We have stayed here before. What is always so wonderful. Is the warm welcoming touches that she has. The place is so nicely done and comfortable. It is also very clean and safe. With any luck will be able to return before the end of fall.

It was wonderful! Cozy, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. Great location. Great dock and porch! Stayed outside the entire time. House was stocked with everything and then some. We've stayed at several rentals over the years at Oconee, but this was my absolute favorite- hands down!! Already planning another stay!

Better than expected

Pictures don’t do it justice. Well stocked with essentials, spotless, convenient & property manager was super responsive to questions. Our pets really enjoyed watching the ducks & cranes & appreciated the treats - we humans enjoyed ours too!

Great lake getaway

It was our second time staying here and we enjoyed it so much both times. They have everything you need. Plus, we brought our boat and could easily put in at the ramp down the road and keep it at the dock.

Lake Oasis

Myself and my family needed a quick getaway to just relax for a couple days over the memorial weekend, we got far more than what we ever could think. The property was serene, and the house was very nicely designed with quirky details and very comfortable and more importantly, very clean. Karen's home was spacious for two bedroom two bath very roomy and my grandkids who are two and three enjoyed the playroom. My husband truly enjoyed the dock in which he caught seven catfish, even though it rained most of the time we are up there with the covered patio. We were still able to enjoy being outside and relaxing. Also, we so appreciate the fact that she allows dogs because we love our four-legged family members and travel with them frequently. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Weekend at the lake

We loved this house! The setting was so lovely, there was a great view of the lake plus wonderful shade trees and the covered deck was amazing! The owner did an amazing job at stocking the place - she thought of everything which made it feel like home! We will be back!

Relaxing lake view.

The location was amazing! Owner was awesome and the home had lots of nice touches: snacks, waters and coffee/creamer. The home was super cool set up but does need some upgrades. It was clean and very comfortable.

Wonderful stay

The Place was immaculate and well appointed Communication was easy. The owner paid a lot of attention to detail regarding making the stay pleasant. The dock was in good shape and we had no problems with securing our boat to the dock. Boat ramp was close. Hope to find time to return.

Loved the natural serenity of the property

My husband and I, along way with our two adult daughters, enjoyed the property’s natural serenity. It’s difficult to align our schedules and we are so glad this spot was available. The home is so quaintly and comfortably furnished. A few things we forgot were supplied—toothbrush, soap, butter and loved the Keurig green tea and hot chocolate. Pleasant surprises. The home’s peaceful location and just-right size is what we’re seeking for ourselves soon but until we find our own happy hideaway, we will probably visit this one again and again.

Stay at Lake Oconee

I host a home using this platfrom. I'm not a big fan of VRBO because i feel it does not provide a good platform to fully give a homes details that guest deserve. Given that im a host, i can be a bit more critical.I appreciated the location on the lake. It is a quiet neighborhood. The cabin has everything you need for a lake stay. The price is appropriate for the home.Cons: I didn't receive check in instructions and had to contact the host for the entrance code. I also could not lock the front door when leaving. But figured it out with help from the host.There are no window coverings on the first floor except for the laundry room, and maybe one other window. I didnt feel comfortable at night sitting in the living room with no window coverings. For the most part, the surrounding houses don't have direct views into the house, and the trees provide some screening. But as a single traveler, I would have felt better having the ability to close curtains/blinds. Additional photos with details would help give a better transparency to what the home offers and does not.

Lovely Lake Oconee Getaway

Very cute house on Lake Oconee! Was in town for a wedding in Greensboro which was about 20-25 minutes away, very easy drive. We loved being directly on the lake and having access to it, great views and very nice porch setup. The cats were on the porch most of the time we were there and were very sweet and friendly. A lot of very nice, small unexpected touches, such as having S'mores items available which we took advantage of with the fire pit, and water bottles and snacks also available. The owner was also very friendly and responsive, responded very quickly to all my messages, and worked with me for an early check in which was needed due to the wedding time, as well as when we needed to stop back by after checking out because we accidentally left something. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a little getaway on the lake!

The view from the deck is incredible. You can’t beat the scenery with the water and wildlife. The house is clean and well decorated and stocked with everything you need for a stay. Great view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing View!

The pictures really don't do it justice. The view from the living room, kitchen, and back porch are amazing. The house is clean and cute. My daughter loved jumping off the dock into the lake. My son loved being able to walk out and fish whenever he wanted. We took the canoe out a couple times which was nice. We actually rented a jet ski as well and were able to drive it right up to the dock. The owners left such a nice little set up with some snacks and coffee supplies. I highly recommend this spot!
