Enjoy digging you feet into the warm sand on this lovely cove. Lake LBJ is a constant level lake, so you will always know where your shoreline is! Swim, kayak, fish, stargaze, so many options. Our1 bed, 1 bath plus oversized balcony is perfect for families, couples & friend retreats. Onsite facilities include two pools, the lake, sand volley ball, chess, tennis, grills, fire pit and more.. use as a fun launch pad for our many hill country sites and activities. The Tropical Hideaway is a great location for family reunions a group travel as well. (We can help in arranging group travel.) The bedroom is a large space with queen size bed, desk space, comfortable chairs for private reading space, walk in closet w washer/dryer and ensuite bath. Sister suite next door also can be rented (subject to availabilty)

Absolutely wonderful!

Perfect space for me and my family of 4. We’ve stayed at this property multiple times and this was by far the best unit. The host was so communicative and had wonderful hospitality. The bed was super comfortable and my girls loved the couch! We’ll definitely stay again!!

Excellent stay, highly recommend this property!The host Holly was great with communication durring process and accomodated my request for early check-in.Condo was perfect location on the lake that had a great view and loved the beach area.The condo was clean and comfortable.Thank you to Holly and will book again in the future.

Just as described

My husband, myself and our 3 year old stayed for 2 weeks in April 2023. We had a great time! The property was as advertised and we enjoyed all of the amenities. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Holly was extremely responsive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Little Getaway!

Such a cute condo! Fully stocked with all the basic supplies you would need to host a small family. We had two teens, two adults and a little one. Plenty of space in the condo. Our host Holly was wonderful, she allowed an early check-in. Our kids had a blast, the pictures are accurate as to how far the lake is from condo. Lots of outside fun for the family and a great hang out to read a book and watch the lake on the beach. Thank you Holly for a wonderful stay!

Perfect condo in perfect location

Lovely, updated, clean, comfortably furnished condo. Everything is 100% great, except for very loud construction noise at adjacent property which we can assume is only a temporary problem, so I give 5 stars for what it will be when construction noise has ended. My grandkids especially enjoyed playing in the water and sand at the very clean beach while the adults enjoyed the provided lounge chairs and shade umbrellas there. We used the day dock to load and unload people onto our ski boat as well and also used the trailer parking area next to the condos while we were there.

Wonderful Getaway!

This property is a hidden gem. The condo is well-stocked with anything you might need. The kitchen has all needed utensils and honestly everything needed to make a nice meal. The couch and bed were so comfortable. Holly was very accommodating and responsive. The back patio is a wonderful place to relax!

I am Holly. A proud wife, mother and grandma. A Realtor by trade. This is our 4th short term rental. A bit of a family enterprise, everybody pitches in. I am a rotten speller. I believe the most important host attributes is to be responsive, honest...and to clean the heck out of the place. We just really want you to enjoy the place as much as our family does.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We first discovered Tropical Hideaway as parents with young children. We were drawn to the quiet cove, the sandy beach and other amenities. While we love all the Highland Lakes, the cove felt more peaceful and frankly, a great place for vacations both with the kids and without! These days we spend as much time with the grandkids there as we can manage. Working hard to provide non-tech experiences. Teaching the kids to fish, kayak and enjoy the stars at night. That said - we have Wifi and cable TV too!

The location is perfect. Roughly and hour from San Antonio and Austin. When we can we like to work from the condo...and sneak swim breaks in when we can. I particularly like our Unit, while it is in the older, original building - I enjoy the over sized deck so much! For me, it is about sneaking out there with a cup of coffee before anyone else wakes up and watching the sunrise and the baby deer play, along with the occasional fox My husband likes to watch the sunset, and star gaze. Many claim to have seen the recently declassified TR_3Bs, rumors say a base is close by. Shhh..don't tell I said so - maybe you can have a lucky sighting too!

Granite Shoals is a bit of a mash-up of a town. Posh lake side homes, small newer retirement homes and trailer homes...we have it all. A true diamond in the rough but I like how all seem to get along. Up and coming area.

If you have a boat, you will want to visit the sand bar hangout, created for us in the freak flood of 2018 Llano River. Everybody will enjoy a visit to Boat Town, or Historic Down Town Marble Falls. Our fishing is the bomb and many Bass Tournaments are held out here.

We are a great jumping off place for many Central Texas Hill Country activities. Buchanan Dam, Enchanted Rock, Fredericksburg, Golfing our many area wineries, Long Horn Caverns, Spider Mountain, adventure parks. There is ample opportunity for learning experiences...see our Guidebook for more ideas
