Lovely cottage close to town!

Place was super clean and plenty of space for a family of 5. Walking distance to pretty much everything in Bar Harbor and took e-bikes into Acadia.

Very comfortable and quiet

Though this property was in down town bar harbor, it was at the end of Main Street. It was quiet and yet close enough to walk to the shopping district. Host was very helpful too. Would definitely stay here again.

Girls Trip

The house was wonderful, very clean, great location, very comfortable. We were five women in our sixties, we get together ever year since the early 2000s and this was one of best trips we have had!

Wonderful Stay in Great Location

The rental was perfect for our group of ten to explore the area. It was so nice to be able to walk to everything Bar Harbor had to offer with just a short drive to Acadia. Home was so clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. The owner also checked in a few times to see if we needed anything and was very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend this rental.

Loved Bar Harbor! DeeDee and Scott were awesome hosts. Would highly recommend this property.

Excellent property. Easily accommodated 14 guests(9 adults and 5 kids). Great location, walking distance to restaurants and downtown shops!

Great place to stay

The property is centrally located such that anything you need is a short walk in Bar Harbor. We really appreciated that the place is well-equipped and super clean, which made the stay very comfortable for our small family and the friends that joined us. The owner is very helpful and clearly cares about the place and guests that stay here!

Wonderful stay in Bar Harbor

The property was spotless upon check in. Location is simply perfect - 5 minutes walk to town center, less than 10 minutes drive to Accadia National Park. The menagment was very attentive and friendly, going beyond expected to insure we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Bar Harbor Rental

There were 8 of us and we all loved it. Perfect location as you can just walk to town. Very clean and the owners were wonderful. They lived near by and only stopped in to make sure we didn’t have any questions.

Great house for a big group!

This house was fantastic! It's a quick walk to main street, and only about 10-15 minutes driving to Sand Beach inside Acadia National Park. Super clean, nice backyard, plenty of sleeping space, tvs in every room, wifi...we all really enjoyed it!

Fabulous home for family vacation!

We stayed here with 6 adults and 4 children, and this home was perfect for us. Walking distance to everything, including a great playground and skate park. The house was very clean, and Deedee was so great to work with. We would definitely recommend this house!

Home Away From Home

Comfortable house within walking distance of the waterfront and busy shopping/dining district. Ample parking. Attentive hostess and no stress requirements at departure time.

Great location and clean

We were within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. The house was very clean. With nine of us staying there we were a bit concerned with it only being 1600 ft.² and only two bathrooms, but it worked! The only downside of the house to me was that the Wi-Fi and phone service was extremely sketchy. The parking was tight for two cars and we had to get special permission of where to park the third. Otherwise it was great!

Fantastic visit! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. DeeDee and Scott went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The property is newly painted, new sheets and towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. You literally cannot beat the location. We will definitely be back!

Family vacation to Bar Harbor

The house and location were perfect for our family vacation and hiking adventures at Acadia. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to cook breakfast each day and come back to a place with plenty of space to relax after a long day in the park. A quick walk gets you to the beautiful shore path and the many shops and restaurants. The owners were wonderful and ensured everything was taken care of. Great spot!

A Wonderful Stay

DeeDee and Scott were wonderful hosts. Their home is impeccably clean and super comfortable. They were always available for any questions we had, and they made sure we had everything we needed after each day of spectacular hiking in Acadia. On one of these days we found a delicious blueberry pie waiting for us! We highly recommend this lovely home. And we loved the accessibility to restaurants and grocery stores, just a short walk away. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful Vacation House with Amazing Owners!

Bar Harbor/Acadia is our favorite place in the world and we were fortunate to spend a week in this wonderful house. The whole family agreed that it was the best house we have ever stayed in! First the house was exceptionally clean! It was so well stocked and the owners couldn't have been nicer. DeeDee and Scott were so accommodating and attentive. The location was perfect. It is located right downtown and around the corner from the neighborhood park. We definitely hope to stay there again in the future!

Best Bar Harbor Vacation House for Families!

We have been coming up to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park for years. We all agreed that DeeDee and Scott are the best hosts we have ever had! They are kind, caring, and very responsive. The house is in a perfect location. The house is cozy, homey, and VERY clean. The house has all the amenities that you could want. We hope to continue to stay with DeeDee and Scott for years to come.

Great VRBO Experience!!

My family and I really enjoyed our first-time vacation experience in Bar Harbor, Maine at Dee's place! She and her son worked to make our entire stay a pleasure. The amenities were wonderful and the location was close to Main Street and the Downtown Bar Harbor area. With 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths, a living room, dining area and kitchen, we had plenty of space for the 6 of us. We also enjoyed sitting at the outdoor firepit! This VRBO is right next to the YMCA, ball fields and a playground, so it is idea for the entire family. I would highly recommend Dee's Place!!

Comfortable house in a great location

We had a blast visiting Bar Harbor/ Acadia National park. This house is in a great location. The little ones in our group love the short walk to the ice cream place around the corner, about 1 block away from this house. This place also is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Bar Harbor. DeeDee and Scott are great to work with. Our multi-generation family of 10 fit comfortably in this house. The only thing that I wish I could do while staying here was to be able to bring home my restaurant leftover, specifically lobsters. Deedee was worrying that other guests may have allergies to shell fish, so no lobsters are allowed in the house. Other than that, it was a great place to call our home away from home.

Wonderful Stay at Deedee and Scott's

I am so glad I chose to stay at Deedee and Scott's! My college friends and I traveled to Bar Harbor to celebrate our college graduation. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location is great: we easily walked everywhere we went in Bar Harbor and drove a very short distance to enter Acadia each day. Each bedroom has a smart TV so we were able to watch Netflix if we wanted to at night and there was a video game console and some games to play as well. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Scott even left a guitar in the living room for us! The backyard has a nice patio with lounge chairs, a grill, and picnic table, so we had a nice BBQ one night. Deedee and Scott were more than hospitable--they thought of everything. There was tea and coffee for us in the morning and there was a fresh blueberry pie in the fridge when we arrived. They were both available to answer any questions via text that I had on the trip. Deedee and Scott are both very kind and welcoming. This is a perfect house for a large family, multiple families, or a big group of adults. Bar Harbor and Acadia were absolutely beautiful, and I hope to go back one day. If I go back, I will definitely stay at Deedee's house again.

SPECTACULAR STAY IN BAR HARBOR

DeeDee and Scott were outstanding hosts, they made our stay a special memory for all of us. They accommodated our every request. They were helpful in coaching us on the best way to enjoy the town, the parade, other city activities and the 4th of July fireworks. They made us feel like locals. They were generous and also communicated with us frequently about what we might need. There was plenty of space for 10 people to relax and enjoy each other whether it was playing games, chatting in the living room or in the backyard. The location was ideal, one block from downtown but still a quiet street. It was close to the bus that takes you all over MDI for free. We found a favorite place to eat, Side Street Cafe is a fun spot. New towels, quilts, sheets and the newly remodeled house was clean and comfortable. We felt like it was home. There was a useful table or chair in all the right places. The house was uncluttered but decorated in a homey way. There was comfortable beds with A/C in each room. The BBQ and back table were fun to use. The house had every convenience of home including everything necessary for making home made pies. We appreciated the cooler she left for our use and the water bottles in the refrigerator were an unexpected treat. We all are looking forward to seeing Dee Dee and Scott again and their comfortable house. Thank you for the memories!! No other house has compared to this one. We are all agreement: Don, June, Sally, Joel, Kimo, Leanne, Emily, Chad, Ellen and Steph

Family trip to Bar Harbor

We had 6 family members staying at Bar Harbor Oasis for a Thanksgiving reunion. The entire experience was 5 stars. The trip manager was very thorough and timely in providing us with information. The home was exceptional - very clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and five lovely bedrooms with comfortable bedding. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor. Acadia National Park entrance is also close by. We will definitely keep this property in our travel file for future visits.
