While past reviews may mention a pot holey gravel road, guests can now enjoy the convenience of a fully milled road all the way to the Summit driveway, making your arrival smooth and stress-free. You may encounter speed bumps that were installed to prevent the millings from washing away in our NC rains.

Welcome to The Summit at Blue Ridge, a stunning three-story mountain cabin offering panoramic views in every direction. Situated on 29 private acres with direct access from the back of the cabin to nature trails and bordering the 4,000-acre Buffalo Cove State Preserve, this home is a perfect escape for family gatherings or intimate couple retreat.

Relax in the outdoor hot tub, soak in the indoor jetted tub, enjoy two cozy fireplaces, and stay connected with high-speed WiFi. The large game room includes a pool table, ping pong, and cornhole, great for gatherings or quiet evenings in. For your entertainment and convenience, the cabin features two flat-screen Smart TVs with complimentary DISH programming, providing a wide selection of channels to enjoy during your stay. You'll also find plenty of board games for family fun and a dedicated home office workspace with a printer available should you need to catch up on work or print boarding passes, tickets, or other documents during your stay.

Take in the mountain air from the wraparound deck, enjoy stargazing at night, or gather around the outdoor fire pit. Complimentary firewood usually available.

The house was exactly as listed; very clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful. Enjoyed watching for shooting stars at night. The additional directions to the house were easy to follow. Barbara was a great host! She contacted me throughout my stay making sure everything was good.

Rental came with anything and everything you could need. Very spacious with extra amenities. Would absolutely stay here again! Host was very responsive and thorough.

The view from the cabin is absolutely stunning! We found this place to be quite homey. It is the perfect spot to just come and relax and enjoy nature. I would advise future travelers to make sure you have everything you need food wise before you go. There is no quick run to the store for eggs! There is plenty of parking if your group has multiple vehicles. The hosts were wonderful to work with and super quick to respond when a storm knocked out the internet. They had it running again in 5 min. We loved the tradition of guests painting a stone and enjoyed looking at all the painted stones throughout the property. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We came for our daughter’s college graduation. We did not need for anything. The scenery was breathtaking. There were many painted rocks on property from past visitors. My graduate enjoyed making one that represented our visit. The host was very nice and responsive to any and all questions. We will definitely return if we come this way again.

The cabin was so beautiful and the views were stunning, especially from the hot tub! The kids had a blast hanging in the loft and the beds were comfy. They also enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. The kitchen was well stocked and Barbara the host was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful house with extremely well appointed kitchen. Downstairs game room was great. The deck and hot tub provide fantastic long distance views. Really peaceful setting and a good base to head out to hikes and attractions near Blowing Rock and Boone. Hope to visit again.

Peaceful cabin

Spacious cabin with enough space for everyone in our family. Stocked well with anything you may need. We enjoyed the pool table and trails! It was a wonderful stay!

Relaxing & Comfortable Getaway with Stunning Views

We absolutely loved this property! Relaxing, cozy yet spacious with everything you could possibly need. The owners thought of everything and we couldn’t have imagined a more comfortable stay. Our favorite spots were the deck with incredible Mountain View’s, and rec room with pool and card table and games. We will definitely be back!

Pre-holiday decompression

Place is absolutely stunning, the views are amazing, we found our new spring and fall goto place. It is situated almost equal distance to Lenore, hickory and blowing rock...perfect place to relax and the trails are private great to enjoy some tranquility and nature

The pictures don’t do justice. This is a wonderful place to bring the family for a getaway. Peaceful, clean and relaxing. Already looking at the calendar to plan a return trip!

Friends Getaway

A group of 8 decided to spend the weekend away in the mountains. This place was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and the property owner was fantastic as far as communication and flexibility. Definitely will stay here again!

Second time staying

I love the seclusion of the cabin and the trails that are literally in the backyard, My nephews love the basement where they can play pool and other games.
