Great place to stay in Cachel

We only stayed one night after arriving in Ireland on our way to the Cork area. Explored the town a bit and had a good dinner. Property was clean and well stocked and would recommend!

Cashel full of surprises

Justins house has plenty of room with a great, well equipped kitchen, in a handy area. Cashel is a great little towncwith a lovely castle, and some awesome restaurants. Full of surprises and close to Coolmore stud, whuch us epic

The house has a very nicely supplied kitchen and the beds we’re comfortable. There are two double beds and one twin, not three doubles. There are three bathrooms, but only one has a stand up shower. One has no shower and one has a handheld shower wand. We had no hot water for our 1-night say, which was really unfortunate, given it was quite warm and we’d all walked a bunch and needed to clean up.

Unit was fine and suited our purposes for our family overnight in Cashel. Well-located with easy walking access to The Rock and all the downtown amenities.Check-in was rough. The google address provided/maps put me one street over - please provide the street address for stupid Americans who are used to such.After a long day driving and with laundry to do, the last thing needed was to be met with wet extra linens in the clothes washer. I chalk this-up as a one-off problem caused by the cleaners. Similarly, the freezer was entirely frozen-over and not usable. Justin handled this with grace and an apology.Would recommend, but owner/manager really needs to monitor much more closely. I believe our experience very likely an aberration, but really not acceptable.

Justin, while nice, changed the property the day of the reservation without explanation. He sent texts to me while I was traveling. There was no time or option for me to rent another space for myself and my family. The unit we stayed in, I saw when booking and chose not to book. The unit we were given was smaller than what was booked, not as well furnished, and needed repair. The upstair’s shower actively leaked thru the kitchen ceiling, light fixtures were broken and would malfunction leaving one in the bathroom in the dark, one of the bedroom windows was missing a handle and could not be opened, the kitchen faucet was difficult to turn off, and the entry lock was difficult to function, one of the beds continually collapsed and the entry door/frame needed repair. The place we stayed was clean, but had many issues and needed repair. I feel this rental was a case of bait and switch. The first night, we did not have heat which was my fault. I turned off a switch to plug in my phone charger. Justin noted that we had turned the switch off and should not touch the switch. We recommended that the switch be labeled. Justin noted that the home was older, and the shower leak never happened before, but as a large scale general contractor that does renovation projects, I could see the leak had been active for some time due to the staining of the ceiling. I do not expect spaces to be perfect as I tend to stay at these types of rentals, but this house was not what I rented.

Not a fully equipped kitchen

The house location was great! House itself very large and clean. Problems: Advertised 3 queen but 3rd bed was a pull out twin trundle. The trundle was too big for the room so to get into the bed you have to walk on and over the mattress. We were 6 people and only 3 dinner plates and 4 small bread plates. Fry pans old and unusable, air fryer dirty and rust on inside basket. Need to buy new pillows for the beds. Our biggest problem was no heat in the house. Contacted the owner who requested we flip a switch. Didn’t work. No instructions in the house or text to learn how to turn on the heating. Owner was not available after first contact nor called later to see if we got the heat on. Some slept with a sweater on. Not enough blankets in house. Owner arrived at 8 am the next morning after he saw missed calls and text from night before (9 pm we started to contact him). He turned on switches he failed to tell us about. If these things are fixed, it would make a nice place to stay.
