Oklahoma natives who have traveled the world—and believe it just doesn’t get much better than this Oklahoma resort destination. In less time than catching a flight would take, be at the lake and sipping a margarita at one of the local hangouts like the Anchor, Docs, or Eddie’s all in walking distance.
A former international event planner, I’ve seen it all but can’t ever get over the ease / enjoyment of Grand lake. The hubs and I have done millions of miles of travel—yet we can’t help but decide that Shangri-La is that Buffet-style easy button—fastest path to a relaxing vacation without all the things that make it wear you out before you can get back home. It’s an easy 1.5 hours away to swing a parent moment away or a family vacay.

We traded a lake house just shy of a million bucks for this more bougie piece of paradise resort style vacay location. No regrets. There’s something for everyone here. We have looked at properties all around Grand and this was the one that could give us a getaway with lots of things we enjoy without all the things we don’t.
Sitting on the highest 10th floor balcony…in the middle of golf, lake views, lake life, a nice trendy village with loads of things to do if you want…this is it. Be as active or as inactive as you desire.
