GREAT GET-AWAY!! (We DO NOT use Craig’s List)

Beautifully renovated cottage, freshly painted with beadboard throughout most of the cottage, new decor (including couch) and tiled kitchen counter top.
Clean & airy, this cottage is located next to one of the many ponds on Block Island. There is a lovely deck with patio table & jchairs & pond & harbor views. There are bunk beds in one bedroom & a queen bed in the other, an open living/dining/kitchen area,microwave, full washer, Direct TV, internet. Close to many amenities such as beaches, restaurants, fishing, hiking, shopping & marinas. Featured in the Block Island Times.
**New reservations for the following season are accepted beginning November 1. **Weekly rentals are required during the summer season (last week in June thru early September). 2 nite minimum required off season.
* Need less room. Inquire about our 1 bedroom cottage!

It was a very charming cottage, Wish the weather was a little better, to enjoy being outside more but all was great with the cottage. Glen greeted us and if we needed anything to just ask. We also had a very friendly rooster visiting us in the morning, and saw an occasional deer. Perfect for our little getaway. Thank you

The Carriage House at Sweet Retreat is exactly as pictured and described. The cottage is very comfortable and homey. It is well stocked with essentials. Having onsite parking was important to us as we were bringing our vehicle. Our hosts Karen and Glenn were very responsive and accommodating. Eager to assist us when weather changed our original plans.We would definitely recommend staying at Sweet Retreat.

Location is perfect!

A charming oasis right across from a tranquil pond. It’s just a short, pleasant walk to the beach, perfect for catching a stunning sunset. The owners were incredibly accommodating and attentive to any needs we had. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Cosy spot with great fishing for kids

Great spot for a small family. My son loves to fish, so after a day when we had run out of energy, he was ready for round 2 of fishing on the pond.

Wonderful Retreat

Cozy and comfortable property located in an idilic setting. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, the property and location more than compensated! Country road to the Sound, walking along the beach, exploring downtown and excellent food made for a wonderful weekend.

Very cute cabin and in a great location for only having our bikes. We slept well and had warm showers every night. Karen was very kind and checked in on us. We will return again!

Definitely a sweet retreat

Cute cozy and everything we needed! It’s in a very peaceful spot right by a pond with lots of birds. We stayed 2 nights for the 1/2 marathon race and it was perfect. We were all sad to leave!

Perfect Getaway

Perfect little get away cottage! Location is very convenient to center of town and beaches. We loved having dinner on the deck enjoying the island breeze. TV, Wi-Fi, Stove, Washer/Dryer all worked fine. Laid back and casual - perfect place to read a book and just relax.

Perfect weekend on Block Island

We had a lovely stay at the Sweet Retreat. The house was perfectly situated on a small pond with wonderful wildlife. There were many birds/ducks/ducklings and we saw deer walking in the pond in the early morning hours. The house was comfortable and clean, and very peaceful. We can't wait to return.

Great Location

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. My family and I loved the location and loved how peaceful it was. The house was so clean and communication with Karen was great. The only thing that we were unaware of, was that there was no AC. I am not sure if it was in the listing, but I may have missed it! We would definitely come back.

Cute Cottage, Beautiful Location

The cottage/carriage house is adorable. I do wish there were a few more amenities - ironing board, hairdryer, a few more blankets - it was very chilly our first night! Also, I have been using VRBO for over twenty years, and it’s the first place I’ve ever rented that didn’t supply toilet paper.

Cozy Block Island Cottage

We had a great week in this property. The listing was accurate and we had no issues. Communication was good leading up to our stay. We enjoyed having the pond and turtles out back to relax in the afternoons. You can walk to the farmers market and a few different restaurants. I think the only thing we all thought would have been nice is an outdoor shower and/or a hose outside to wash off sandy feet, chairs and coolers. We would book this property again.
