A very lovely stay in Port Renfrew twice at this cottage! Home away from home! Nice, clean cottage with all the amenities you need. A great, quiet sleep in the forest. Gorgeous patio with picnic table and firepit. Surrounded by flowers, berries, trees and bamboo. Truly relaxing vacay!

If you are looking for a getaway to the more rugged parts of the west coast of Vancouver Island, this property is ideal. It is easy to get to, the owners/host are super efficient at communications and providing useful information and the cabin is close to most of the areas to explore and to the local store and restaurant/cafe and pub. While there are a number of other cabins nearby, our cabin was well secluded and there was little or no noise from other occupied cabins. The rooms were clean and comfortable and well equipped for cooking, or games for those rainy moments. We loved the walks and hikes nearby and it was easy to find decent food within a few minutes walk. The advance info from the host was really useful and should be read carefully before setting off!

I truly loved my stay and wished that I had booked an extra night. The property was great with a large deck and bamboo and trees that added nice privacy. Although I didn’t use it, the fire pit was a good size and there was wood available. The kitchen was very well equipped and the fireplace made the space so cozy.The entire cabin was very clean. It felt very homey and bright with all the windows. Pet friendly and had dog bowls, my big pup was very content here! I will absolutely come back!

We enjoyed our brief stay at Handsome Dans Port Renfrew. The cabin was quaint, comfortable and clean. We were fortunate to be able to stay for one night as many properties require a 3 night stay. The location was close to various beaches in the area.

weekend in Port Renfrew

Port Renfrew is a hidden gem on the west coast. Beautiful beaches and easily accessible. Cabin was so cozy and comfortable.

The cottage was cozy and cute and extremely clean. All the required information was shared with us online or was accessible via physical binder in the cottage. The kitchen had all you need for simple cooking. A few minutes walk to the ocean, in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. It is a perfect place to unwind, 100% recommended.

Our stay here was okay. Location was good, about 10-15min drive from Botanical Beach and about 25mins from Sombrio Beach. There is a cute ice cream place a 2min walk (cash only). Cottage overall needs updating and some TLC though.
