Family, Kid Heaven-- lakefront adventure- spacious log cabin, cook's kitchen!
The reason we get such rave reviews is that we want you to have as much fun here as we have always had! The whole place is yours for your selected time., right on the beach. We want you to experience our beautiful, private rustic log cabin nestled in a wild woodland on a lake renowned for bass fishing, The sandy beach, kayaks, paddleboards, raft and dock hold you as you play for hours in the spring fed water. Watch for eagles and great blue heron from the huge porch as the kids stalk chipmunks, swim, kayak and fish by the waterside deck, catch fireflies in the evening, roast marshmallows by the fire pit; Hammock time is key for the full experience!! September brings hot days with cool evenings, as the crisp air starts the turning of the leaves to orange and gold. By October, it's a leaf peepers’ paradise, and the lake and backroads are aflame in red, purple and bright orange.
Our spacious cabin is 1700 square feet big and has 3 bedrooms (two queen beds, 3 twins, one futon: sleeps 7) and 3 bathrooms; additional space includes a semi finished basement and a loft that serves as a game room, art studio and extra bedroom. The porch overlooks the lake, with easy boat launch and seating, raft, dock, three kayaks, two paddleboards, one canoe with backrests. Renowned for bass fishing.
History comes to life here, as the old country store motif fascinates kids and adults alike. Kids love to "shop" at the counter which is a huge old country store display case with original cash register
Yet here you will also find all the modern comforts you long for during your special vacation. Great open kitchen, well -equipped for cooks; new gas stove, fridge and silent dishwasher; dining area and comfortable, spacious family room with vaulted ceiling. Leather recliners face the stunning large stone fireplace and smart TV, with full internet service, and swiveltoward the table for afterfinner chats.Check out the camp book shelf for info about local hikes, the White Mountains nearby, classic reads for kids and adults.
There is a bathroom on each of the three floors, one with a genuine deep clawfoot tub
Basement lower level space with extra large shower, pool table, couch, DVD old movie collection, lots of games, cozy child play space.
The full length porch overlooking the lake can be the center of your gathering, as seated on old fashioned camp furniture you watch folks jump off the float as the sun retreats over the foothills. Huge outdoor octagonal table for eating and games.
Comfortable beds, private spaces, local artwork, lots of classic vacation reading stocked on old bookshelves as you take turns on the hammock; lie on the porch couch, watch the chipmunks and squirrels play in the treetops as herons and eagles fly by. Watch for deer, hear loon calls at dawn. Enjoy the swing set, sandbox and child chairs for the grandchildren in our safe and child friendly home.
Quaint local restaurants and beautiful New England scenery will draw you back here time and again. Local trails nearby and Appalachian Mountain Club hiking north in the White Mountains; shopping in North Conway. Special restaurants in the lovely town of Wolfeboro, a 20 minute drive from camp.
So much to do and see in all weather and time of year. The views of fall leaves are unbeatable. Bring your paints, the art studio space is there for you in the loft, near the poker chips and the extra futon bed.

Our two boys were raised here, learned to live in and love the natural world. Fishing, swimming , wood carving, bows and arrows, prowling through the woods like Jim Bowie.
Frank and I and our two sons made this camp our home away from home; we bought the land when our older son was a year old; we camped here when the next one was 3 months old, and were able to build the log. home when they were in middle school.
Here, we have been able to rest. Of course, for us, rest meant fishing for bass, archery, safe target lessons, campfires and cookouts, picnics, hiking the White Mountains, staying in the AMC huts; snowmobiling, skiing, and ice hockey in the winter; always bringing bags of books home from the Gafney library in Sanbornville, and reading for days. It has been our happy place for thirty years.
We wish to welcome you to the many joys of life on Belleau Lake!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad
Our spacious cabin, 1700 sq. ft, has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms; additional space includes a semi-finished basement and a loft that serves as a game room, art studio and extra bedroom. It entertains with objects "from the old days".
Our cabin on Belleau Lake offers so many delightful ways to enter into the New Hampshire environment. From paddles off the private beach, to hikes on hills within a few miles, to 4000 footers an hour north in the White Mountains: all is easily accessible from our cabin.
Visit local farms, especially the Top of the Hill Farm, a short drive for a fabulous view of the mountains; buy some fresh veggies, meat, honey, and see the fields of sunflowers and zinnias.
A day trip to Lake Winnipesaukee is a must! Plan ahead for a fabulous cruise on the M/S Mount Washington.
Wolfeboro is a close town to visit on Lake Winni: There are museums, elegant dining spots , or casual lunch and ice cream on the dock, and a ferry stop. Check out the Farmer's market on Thursday!
Heading north, the "scenic route", is route 153, (which parallels busy route 16 toward Conway)-- and takes you through a backroad of New Hampshire lakes, horse farms, views you must stop for.
Day trips might include one of the many summer and fall fairs and festivals:
a short 24 minute ride takes you to the Acton Maine Fair; the Sandwich NH Fair, a 45 minute ride through Moultonbough, past Mount Chocorua into the quaint town of Sandwich, which is a good example of a cozy New England village--home to artists, poets, farmers. Another lovely town to visit is Tamworth, at the foot of Chocorua, catch the Tamworth Farmer's Market on Saturday morning.
Linger here at camp late into the night, to watch stars, fireflies and bats, fireworks on the Fourth of July. Enjoy holidays with family for Memorial & Labor Day, glory of September, flaming oranges and reds of October’s Columbus Day.
We look forward to hosting your return in different seasons.
