Beautiful, historic gem plus convenience to JMU!

Chose site for its convenience to JMU, its spacious accomodations for our family's stay for graduation, got the added benefit of experiencing a real working farm and beautifully renovated historic home... would definitely stay again!

Wonderful property

This is a beautifully restored home & was very comfortable to stay in. The hosts made our entire stay very from check in to check out. For our purposes, the property was ideally located.

Absolutely loved our stay. The host went above and beyond to create an easy check in and had the house so welcoming. We had no idea of the amazing history of this farm house. Abraham Lincoln’s grandfathers house. Google it before you stay, it will make your trip all that more special. It was parents weekend at JMU and we were able to stay with our daughter’s roommates parents, delightful, and bring our son for a good night sleep. Highly recommend, Blessings, Amy

Beautiful property! Lovely mix of history and charm with the comfort of modern conveniences. Sarah was a wonderful hostess with excellent communication. The kids loved playing basketball and jumping on the trampoline while we enjoyed the sunset on the porch. Highly recommended!

Historical & Cozy

Many of our family were happy to stay at Sarah’s home while in town for a wedding. Everyone was amazed at the home's beauty and how well it had been renovated. The property was clean, and the host was always quick to answer our questions and easy to work with. If we are ever in the area again, we would be happy to stay again!

We were there for a wedding so we didn’t do any local activities. The house and its history were amazing. Everything you could possibly need was in the home. I liked the location also because you were out of town but still close enough for a few minutes trip to get to restaurants and shopping.

Stunning home

This home was perfect for graduation weekend with our family. We had a wonderful time reading about the history of this home and exploring the beautiful details inside the house. Everything you would ever want was provided. Highly recommend this unique property!

Beautifully remodeled farmhouse.

It was JMU graduation weekend and we booked this home for 3 families to stay and celebrate a granddaughter's graduation. The home was clean and neat. The kitchen was amazing (we cook). The kitchen had everything you could ever imagine and was an excellent place to socialize. We enjoyed our stay and would book this place again in a heartbeat for more JMU weekends. Maybe a 10-15 min drive to Harrisonburg.

Historic gem

“This looks like this should be a Taylor Swift album cover!” That was one quote from a member of our party. Charming. Full of character. It was so fun to stay here!! What a privilege to have been able to stay here. Host was so accommodating. Just loved the whole experience!!
