What an awesome experience. Central to a lot of the sightseeing. The rental was very comfortable and the view was breathtaking. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place.

The property was just what we needed. Enough for everyone to have their space and be together at the same time. We loved the hot tub and the sauna after a long day of sightseeing. Clean and had the basic supplies. We would stay there again!

Highly recommend this as a base for discovering Iceland. The hike up Burfell that is behind the home gives spectacular views of the area.

We thought Fensalir was great. Good location, lots of space, well equiped, excellent layout, good pre arrival info, super hot tub and sauna. There were however a couple of small things: the separate cabin does not have full blackout blinds which is a problem in the summer; no mirror in the cabin bathroom which is a pain if you shave the old fashioned way; hot water runs out very quickly so it became a race to the bathroom every morning. All very minor things but means overall 4/5 score. We loved our stay though and would recommend it.

Perfect place for a home away from home! We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sauna after long days of exploring. Kitchen had everything we needed and the we used the outdoor grill nightly! Beautiful views!

We loved our time here. The home is spacious and clean. Kitchen has everything we needed for a few simple meals. The hot tub and sauna were relaxing and clean. Multiple nights we could see the northern lights which was a big highlight. The location is excellent as well for visiting the Golden Circle. We would highly recommend staying here.

The Fensalir cabin was perfect for our family. The property is well maintained and quite cozy. We had no issues with the accommodations. The appliances were all in good working order. The host was very communicative and helpful. The host provided excellent documentation and instructions on how to get to the property, how to access, and clear instructions about all the amenities and appliances. It was easy to answer any questions on how to do something by checking the handbook that was provided.The location is fantastic. It is in a more rural setting yet close enough to Selfoss for easily getting groceries. We loved the quiet and peaceful environment. The views were very good: the mountain just to the east (Búrfell); the view towards Selfoss and the river to the south; meadows and a river to the east. Great hiking on the nearby mountain with a small lake in the crater. Geothermal features in Reykjadalur and the Golden circle, and Kerið Crater are close. Sitting in the hot tub and/or sauna at night after a day of adventures was very relaxing and we were even rewarded with a view of the northern lights while sitting in the hot tub. I highly recommend this property and will try to book it the next time we come to Iceland.

Our stay at Fensalir was outstanding and exceeded expectations. The property is beautifully located in the heart of the Golden Circle region, making it the perfect base for exploring Iceland's natural wonders while still enjoying privacy and tranquility. The home was spotless, spacious, and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and sauna after long days of sightseeing. The layout worked perfectly for our family, with plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably. The guesthouse provided additional privacy for my wife and I. The surrounding scenery is stunning, with peaceful countryside views and easy access to major attractions such as Gullfoss, Geysir, and Þingvellir National Park. The host was responsive and helpful, and the check-in process was seamless. If you're looking for a comfortable, luxurious, and well-located home in Iceland, Fensalir is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Golden Circle area.

Great property!

This is a great property in a perfect location. Quiet and remote but an easy drive to the golden circle and Selfoss Town. The hot tub was great and the accommodations were very nice.

Beautiful cabin, great location

This is a beautiful, well appointed cabin in close proximity to the Golden Circle and national park. The hot tub and sauna are extras that set this property apart. We had a lovely stay here.

A great place in the middle of most everything we wanted to do

What's not to like! Loved the view, the sauna the hottub, and the separate guest house that gave our two couples lots of privacy when we wanted it.

Amazing cabin in Iceland

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is in a great location and had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing and gazing into the night sky.

Great place

Really loved the place. Location and amenities like hot tub and steam room were great. The main shower probably needs a simple shower curtain and a trash can, but the place we wonderful.
