Cozy Cabin in the Woods with Beautiful Pond Views

Whether you are looking for a place to unwind and relax or a place with many activities to do while enjoying the great outdoors, Horseshoe Acres has it all! There is a newly covered hot tub conveniently located right off the porch to soak and relax while taking in the beautiful pond views. If you are looking for things to keep you busy, there is a privately owned 10 acre fully stocked pond for fishing fun, 2 paddle boats, a jon boat, 3 kayaks and a canoe with 2 docking areas for fun in the water! There is also a playground and sandbox for the kids to enjoy if a family friendly experience is what you are looking for! Also included is a fire ring with firewood fully stocked and ready to go.
There are many local attractions nearby to visit during your stay. Some of these include:
- Racoon Park: Beach access to Lake Erie just a little over 6 miles from the cabin. Not only is there a beautiful beach, but there are also picnic pavilions, restrooms, and a playground.
- Conneaut Creek: Public access just a couple short miles from the cabin for floating, canoeing, or fishing.
- Elk Creek Access: 9 miles away
- Conneaut Township Park: Lake Erie beach access in Conneaut, OH only 11 miles away
- Waldameer Amusement Park: 17 miles away (Not available in cabin)
- Presque Isle State Park: 21 miles away
- Several local restaurants

HOUSE RULES:
By moving forward with the rental process, you are agreeing to abide by the following house rules. Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave with no refund.

- No smoking in the cabin or on the porch. Designated smoking area by firepit. Please properly dispose cigarettes. Smoking fee of $250 will be added if rules are not followed.
- No hunting or shooting firearms of any kind on the property.
- No ATVs of any kind permitted on the property.
- No parties of any kind. If you exceed the 10 adult limit, you will be charged $25 per additional person.
- Campers permitted with an additional $50 per night per camper. Must verify with owner for parking arrangements. No hook-ups of any kind provided.
- Tents permitted with an additional $25 per night per tent.
- Basement bilco doors are to remain closed at all times. Emergency exit only.
- No motorized boats/jetskis permitted on pond.
- No vehicle parking on any grass areas.
- A cleaning fee of $125 will be charged if there is excessive cleaning needed after check-out.

Girlfriend's Birthday

We had a fantastic long weekend stay for my girlfriend's birthday with my brother, sister-in-law, and all our kids. We absolutely loved the place! It was spotless, and check-in was easy and stress-free. The host provided excellent suggestions for activities and sights, making our trip even better. They were quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely rent again!

Great place!

We have a very comfortable and accommodating stay! We had everything we needed and the house was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for a fall getaway! It was the perfect weekend!

Great long weekend away from city life

Amazing property. Clean, roomy, and something for everyone to do. Enjoyed the pond, fire pit, pool table, and most of all the feeling of remoteness without being too far away from anything. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get away. The play set would be great for kids as well. Would book this place again. And the cookies upon entry were a nice little touch to really make you feel welcomed.

Definitely paradide!

When they say this place is paradise, they aren’t lying! We had 4 adults & 5 kids ages 7-14 with us and there was plenty of room for all! The cabin and land are GORGEOUS and super clean. There is so much care put into the stay of their guests: they answer all questions, they are overly accommodating, they stock everything in the cabin (think paper products, kitchen supplies, etc). There is so much to do….kayaks, fishing, hiking, the hot tub, the pool table, the firepits, the playground….we just can’t say enough wonderful things!!

A Bonding Experience..

All was perfect, the space the cleanliness was exceptional, but there was only one thing that took a lot to get past, and that was the stench of the water from the faucets. Hopefully they can resolve that problem because we would like to make this our destination every summer.. the hosts Ashley and David were the best.. they stayed right on top of things.. we thank them so much for opening their home up for us..

Awesome place!

This is a great place!! Perfect for our family of 12! (6 adults, 6 children) We enjoyed the fishing, swimming and kayaking! The hot tub was also a hit! Would definitely book again, if in the area!

Relaxing cabin

The property was very large and well taken care of. We were very impressed with how well the cabin was stocked with everyday needs and also things you wouldn't think of. It was apparent the host's were very well prepared. Nice lake, hot tub, and pavilion. Could use an exhaust fan for the only bathroom (10 people sharing). Overall, great spot.

Beautiful getaway

Property is well maintained and beautiful. There is lots to do at this location which makes it a vacation in itself without having to venture out. My family and I really enjoyed our time here and would definitely go again.

It was ok, was not impressed about the water situation at the cabin. It was the same color as the lake and smelled bad, also the bath towels smelled like a wet dog, we had to rewash them before use. It was very relaxing, the boats were a lot of fun. Thanks.

Best vacation

Our time spent in this cabin and in the property was absolutely amazing!!!!! I could not keep my children away from the water the entire time! My children all got to kyak for the first time and the fishing they did was so enjoyable it was alot of fun. The inside of the vanin is immaculate way surpassed what i was expectiing. Its absolutely beautiful! Very accommodating and easy to get in touch withbthe owners and so much room for all of us to have pur own space and freedom if needed!!! I will definitely be looking forward to future stays here. Thank you again so much for allowing us to enjoy your property

Really nice remote cabin

The cabin is out of the way and surrounded by nature including a lake/pond and woods. It is comfortable and clean and easy to get to. Great place to relax.

Amazing Gathering Place

Horseshoe Acres Lodge was everything and more! I reserved this cabin a year ago for the weekend of April 8th 2024 Total Eclipse of the Sun. My family and friends gathered in Tennessee for the August 2017 Total Eclipse and we wanted to share that experience again together here in NW Pa. The cabin and grounds are amazing. The amenities in the kitchen were top notch, including coffee, sugar and creamer for the coffee maker. We enjoyed the fire pit during the day and into the evening. The ability to change the benches at the fire pit into tables was a great surprise. The fully appointed game room was an excellent asset if our weather had been cool and rainy. Several enjoyed the hot tub, while others walked along the shoreline of the pond and sat along the beach area. This property was the perfect spot for good friends to come together. We are already talking about returning for another gathering next year. Thank you so much, Ashley and Dave!

Absolutely perfect weekend

Despite the cold weather, we had the best time at your cozy cabin! Everything was impeccably clean. There were lots of games and activities to do with the snow storm outside. The hot tub was in perfect working order and was a treat with the picturesque winter background. The property is well up kept and was a little slice of paradise. Highly recommend, great communication with owners. Lots of pillows and blankets to house a cabin full of teenagers, beds were comfortable. Thanks so much for a great stay! Will be back again next year 😊

Great family get away

My wife and I, our toddlers and my mother in law stayed here for a long weekend in March. The property was very beautiful with great trails and the amazing pond. They had everything needed for kids which was great. The hosts were super easy to get ahold of and very responsive for everything. Will def I talk be back!

Girls Weekend

My sister, niece, and friend rented this cabin for a girls weekend. We do a girls weekend annually. We prefer to stay in a cabin, in a rural area, with a hottub. This cabin met our requirements. Plus we wanted to go to the wineries in Northeast, PA which was an easy 40 m

Bachelor party

This place has anything you could ever want for a bachelor party. A great pond with a beach area and some good fishing spots, a hot tub of it’s too cold for the pond, and a completely finished basement with a pool table dart board and poker table. What more could you ask for really. The check in and checkout process was easy and the property was immaculate when we arrived. We will probably being staying here again

Fishing trip

My daughter, her boyfriend, two nephews, one great nephew, 2 friends from work, 2 childhood friends and myself stayed 5 days. Had a blast in a beautiful cabin on a lake.
