futon, a TV, WiFi, refrigerator, 2 burner hot plate, toaster, microwave, utensils, and tables are available. There is also a shower, sink, and toilet plumbed for
your use. Make it a fun get away to be
able to go snowmobiling, snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, hunting, and fishing. You can snowmobile right out the drive to Buckhorn and get on the trails!! Snowshoeing and skiing trails close by too!! You might even see turkey and deer by Soldier Creek right out your window on this property.

Awesome! everythiong we needed, very cozy! Buckhorn saloon only 2.5 miles down the road with great people and great fun! Would definalty stay again!

A beautiful place of sanctuary for me when i needed one, in the middle of my beloved Black Hills, preserved in the Wyoming side, while other parts of the forest have been developed. Reminding me of many wonderful vacations in the 50s staying with my parents in such places. Maybe this one. A SD native like me, host Jennifer provides everything needed and nothing more, a good thing for singles and elders, furnished well with antiques yet all tech ready with internet, tv, kitchen fridge, hot plate, grill. She even jump started my car. See the best part of the Black Hills, minutes from Spearfish Canyon, Bear Butte, Lead Deadwood, Devil’s Tower, if you chose to ever leave the peace of this place. I’ll be back.

It’s wonderful that the rustic cabin and Black Hills location could provide a very safe place for you. It is peaceful with the wildlife and does provide you with wifi, tv and other comforts of home . Lots of great places to tour close by and see the historical part of the Black Hills too ! So thrilled to know that u enjoyed your time here and would love to come back some day !

We enjoyed the quiet of the cabin! I loved the rustic cabin furniture. I would stay here again. The owner is very friendly!

Really good location

We had a great time. The cabin was very nice and it was within driving distance of wind cave and deadwood. (About an hour and 45 minutes respectively) it was a super cozy and relaxing week.

A Good Time

All was well. My only concern was the bathroom door (or the lack thereof). Everything was as listed and bottle of wine in the frig was a nice touch but we don't drink and left it for the next guest. We are glad we stayed and had a good time. We tried to leave the cabin in as good condition as when we arrived.

Lovely Little Cabin

Absolutely lovely little cabin about 20 minutes from Newcastle. We went to have a relaxing time because we felt our last vacation was too crammed, and this place delivered. The dogs enjoyed exploring the trees and sitting in the creek. The kid enjoyed seeing the neighbors' horses. I enjoyed a quiet morning relaxing outside and seeing deer, and the husband enjoyed the shower (apparently it's the exact kind of water heater he wants for our house) and that the TV had roku (yeah, a relaxing cabin trip was my idea). We all enjoyed roasting s'mores over the propane grill. Overall, a great stay.

It is quite lovely to see the deer and listen to the creek running!! So fun for your child and dogs to get to explore the countryside a bit !! Those on demand water heaters are nice! Glad hubby could relax !! Roku movies are entertaining too !! I only watch movies when I’m staying in the mini cabin !! Pretty fun and relaxing !! Great idea on roasting s’mores on the grill !
