Home has a good view and is located very close to Highlands. House lacks central A/C but had window units and was comfortable in August. Kitchen was reasonably well provisioned. Bedrooms were large and bedding was very comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed my rental experience. Chambers' customer service was excellent. The rental was very comfortable. The location was great since we were deep in nature but close to town.

Great house! Fantastic location, fantastic view. The only annoyance is having to pick up a key when you get there which honestly was so fine and quick but we've all been spoiled by key pads these days. The only other annoyance is having to take your garbage to a dumpster somewhere away from the house - seems like something the cleaning crew could do (I understand that there are bears that don't need to be fed). There is an abundance of kitchen utensils if you want to cook they really have it all!

Outstanding location for our family reunion

My brothers and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Pumpkin Hill House in Highland, NC. The house was very comfortable and cozy with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The house has the most beautiful view, unforgettable views We will plan another reunion next summer.

Very disapointed

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have rented many properties through VRBO and this is the first we wish we had not rented. Among the reasons:1. House was musty and stale. Evidence of water damage in the walls and we were concerned about mold/mildew exposure. Felt like it had not been occupied for months. Someone should have opened a few windows and freshened it up before we arrived.2. Hot water supply was terribly insufficient. We had four adults staying and didn't have enough hot water to take showers in the morning.3) Garbage arrangement is stupid. Depending on the amount of garbage you produce and the timing if your stay, you will have to either take garbage to a local dump or get charged an additional fee.4) Upstairs mattress was old and worn out.Very strongly recommend you avoid this property and any other property managed by this company.

Fun for all for Thanksgiving

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this cute house in Highlands for the week of Thanksgiving. We had 6 people staying there and we also had 6 more over for thanksgiving dinner. There was plenty of room for all. Kitchen was very well stocked utensils wise, lots of deck space, and it was a really nice trip overall. Location is super convenient to town. My grandmother also left her cane there and they kindly shipped it back to her. House is older, but they’re clearly taken care and put thought into comfort. Would definitely recommend. Our only issue was the heat is not left on between stays. If you arrive when the high was in the 30s, like we did, the house definitely takes some time to warm up.

Heavenly Highlands

Loved the beautiful mountain view of this property. We relaxed each morning and evening watching the many songbirds that came to the feeder on the deck. Great place to hike, explore town and surrounding area. A wonderful getaway.

Great views

It cabin was cozy with all the amenities needed, property management was easy to work with. With plenty of deck space you have great views of the valley.

The home had a few issues (cable was not working, master bedroom sliding door was broken, some of the furnishings are dated) but we would stay again. Nice neighborhood, super convenient to downtown Highlands, walking trail near the house.

Truly a delightful mountain experience!

I truly enjoyed the stay. The house was clean and well supplied. There was adequate space for all 8 of us. We especially got a thrill when we had a bear "experience" our first night there. Watched a mother and her cub wandering around in the yard. Fun to see from the safety of the house.

Awesome

The view of Sunset Rock and Satulah Mountain off the deck was a perfect place to dine and unwind and enjoy the mountain air. The house was perfect for our extended family and dog. The kitchen had everything we needed; there was no reason to eat out. The location is perfectly close to town, and we even used the trail to walk for the Eclipse viewing event. Thank you!

Great house for a group of friends

We shared the house with eight other people and there was abundant room. The views were great and they had everything we needed to cook full meals and take hot showers. Would go back again!
