Perfect Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here one weekend every summer for at least 10 years. This is a great family get away. The pool and beach are just steps away. The condos are clean and have enough kitchen supplies. We bring food but everything needed for cooking is on site. The beds are comfortable.

Great location and setup but property declining

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, pool and beach. Condos are the same for last 40 years and well kept. Property maintenance needs help. Overhead lights around property out in locations. One grill had 3 of 4 burners working while other one had 1 of 4 burners working. Carts of dirty towels and sheets left in hallway when in past they put in housekeeping area. My biggest concern was a floor return in the pool was broken off exposing two metal screws that could cut a persons foot. Told staff and they said be fixed Wednesday when pool company comes. I left on a Sunday and it was never fixed. New cover would solved the issue. Front staff nice and helpful as usual.

Great 3day weekend

Stay was easy and what you would expect from a beech condo. It’s not the Ritz but you can’t get much closer to the beach. We felt like we had a private beach. The pool closes at 5 when they go home but you still have the beach right there. Would definitely stay here again

This 2 bedroom condo was everything plus more than I expected. Clean, spacious, accessible and so vey comfortable. My husband and I wanted to take my younger brother, who has very limited mobility on a vacation that he would always remember. This place has achieved many memories for all of us. Directly from our Lanai was the beautiful pool and behind the pool was the crystal, calm turquoise water of the Gulf of Mexico. There was plenty of towels for the beach and for bathing. Our unit was supplied with plenty of house hold necessities. Our host was Georgia. She was very responsive to any questions that I may have had before our trip. The staff in the office was always welcoming. Check in was a breeze as well as checkout. I would definitely recommend the Silver Sands 2 bedroom condo 243S for anyone looking for peacefulness and tranquility with a superior stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mattresses in our unit was worn and noisy. The location is great. The facility itself is well maintained for it's age. Questionable whether it's worth the high $$ since the unit owners don't seem to invest in improvements and furnishings.

Pool was closed

They had to make repairs which took most of our stay. Very disappointing. Other than that, it was just what I expected.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Base my beach experience on how hard it is to acclimate back to normal life when you leave. Silver Sands lived up to our expectation. I keep wanting to return and enjoy it some more. It's great to be able to take a short walk to the beach of white sand, wade into calm water and enjoy a refreshing swim. Afterwards we would get together at the pool, which was always warm and enjoyable. Enjoyed meeting other guests who were always friendly. Only disappointment was the tub/shower was hard for both of us to get into.

family stay at Longboat Key

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have rented at Silver Sands every year for approx. 20 years. Before that we were at The Holiday Beach. We love Longboat Key, and have brought many friends there as well as our children, and now their children, this year we rented 7 units over Easter vacation for 1-2 weeks. The biggest disappointment is the lack of room service. We had a difficult time getting clean towels and got no response for the repair of the toilet that never stopped running. Also the rooms could definitely be cleaner.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Silver Sands for over 25?years. It includes many of our extended family members! We love the location and uncrowded beaches. We also enjoy many of the offerings besides the beach for example; beautiful pool , duffle board court and the newly redone miniature golf course. Really like the ocean view on the screened in porch! Also like TVs in each room. Thanks Silver Sands!!
