Misguided and very poor Property Managemnt
We were told about balcony work after our trip was already booked and only shortly before we came to Florida. When we inquired, we were told we would have little to no inconvenience. Not to mention we were supposed to have direct gulf view access, yet we ended up on the side of the property. Then when we got there we received a note on our door, an email and text that we were LOSING access to our balcony, which is a HUGE part of the vacation club experience. Our tables and chairs were wrapped and stacked up for multiple days. A dumpster was directly below our balcony filled with garbage. Workers were on our balcony and ropes obstructed our views of the beach...along with the platform the workers used. I was woken up on one occasion while workers noisily worked outside my bedroom. When I tried to communicate with Erin Helm (Marriott), she was apparently in meetings each of the 3 times I stopped by. I left voicemails for her, as well as messages with the desk staff. She did not communicate with me. I did speak with Heather Ackerman (Marriott) who indicated "compensation" was being discussed for disrupted renters but I also never heard back from her. I spoke with the property manager we rented the room from, and all he did was continually tell me he was following up with the owner. Basically he just waited me out until my week was up. He NEVER produced any tangible result. Ultimately I am EXTREMELY disappointed in how this was handled and there is NO WAY the amount of money equalled the product we were promised. I would very much appreciate a follow up call for final resolution.
