This cottage is immaculate! Everything in it provides history of the local area! The grounds are awesome! The decor is perfect for such a place! The kitchen harkened me back to when I grew up with the double ovens and drop in stove...you have everything you need to cook a quick breakfast and ice and Culligan water for drinking is provided!!!! This is a must stay while you are in the area...and do not forget to make reservations at Spoon River in Belhaven. Absolutely the best farm to table! Hats off to the chef, Theresa and our waiter Jacob!

My wife and I agreed that this was our best VRBO stay. The hosts were gracious. The accommodations were extremely comfortable, clean, and inviting.

Lovely getaway

What a charming cottage! Our hosts have great taste- the house is beautifully decorated and the gardens surrounding it are exceptionally lovely. They thought of everything we might need and made us feel welcome and at home. Amazing birdwatching is close by at Pungo and Mattamuskeet wildlife reserves. We highly recommend!

Virginia and Myles were perfect guests. I truly enjoyed meeting them and I hope they will visit us again as they will always be welcome at Chinaberry Grove.

So happy that we found this gem! Needed a place to stay while visiting friends in Pinetown. Adorable cottage, can’t stress enough just how cute and cozy this place is! The bed was comfy. Cottage was very clean. Absolutely loved the way it was decorated. Enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. The coffee bar and snacks were a pleasant surprise. We’d love to stay here again in the future when we come back to visit. Thanks!!

Secret garden for bird lovers

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage/property. The cottage is surrounded by trees and gardens which makes it very private. The property is surrounded by peaceful farmland. It is conveniently located about 15 minutes to Belhaven and Bath, and 30 minutes to Washington. We had two fine meals at local restaurants and enjoyed exploring the area.

Coziest Cottage Ever

The property was something out of a fairytale novel. It was so cozy and cute. The host provided everything you could want in a rental and more. The organic egg basket was very appreciated. The stars you can see at night are mind blowing. And the space heaters throughout were perfect for getting comfortable with the colder weather. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking.

Wonderful relaxing layover

Family and I were on a 15 hour road trip and this relaxing cottage is exactly what we needed to rest in between our two driving days. The place was clean and well stocked with much needed coffee. We walked the property and enjoyed all the beautiful flowers and nature scenes. We then got a great sleep and hit the road again. For us this is much better overnight scenario than a hotel, the kids dont sleep if they are in same room, so we had plenty of space to spread out for the same price, and wonderful hosts.

The property is extremely quiet and peaceful. The property is phenomenal! The cottage is beautifully decorated and quaint. Well equipped for all your cooking desires. Sitting on the front porch in the rocker on a cool crisp morning with a cup of hot coffee was an excellent place to spend time with God and pray! We highly recommend this cottage. Truly enjoyed visiting with Jennifer and Herb! They gave great suggestions on nearby locations to visit! I definitely plan on returning in the future. Oh yes, one of greatest enjoyments was studying how she decorated each and every one of her light switches. They are amazing and detailed. Check them out.
