White Lotus House
Welcome to The White Lotus House! Enjoy expansive views, dark skies, quiet and solitude in this open and comfortable abode. Situated on almost three acres of wooded forestland with spectacular mountain and valley views, this well constructed home can sleep up two eight people and is pet friendly! Featuring four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, this spacious vacation home is set up as a retreat space featuring two private bedrooms in the main house and two private bedrooms in the studio space making it ideal for groups and families looking to retreat in comfort.
In the main house first floor you will find an open spacious living area with huge picture windows to take in the glorious views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Enjoy watching the peaks from the cozy couch, grab a hot drink or cook up a big meal in the kitchen, which adjoins the living area and dining room. The kitchen is big and open with plenty of counter space to spread out and cook up some tasty meals. Stocked with cookware and bakeware you can stay home and enjoy home-cooked meals while you retreat. A cozy half bath on the first floor so you don't have to go too far when you are enjoying the kitchen and living area.
Just up the stairs are two bedrooms for guests to enjoy. The master bedroom is open with picture windows facing the mountain views. The king-sized bed is comfortable, and you can enjoy the stars from the bed at night. There is a small workstation, full sized futon couch and adjoining bathroom. The master bathroom is excellent for star gazing while you soak in the giant soaking tub! Equipped with a shower, toilet and dual sinks, this bathroom has everything you need! Just down the hallway is the second bedroom, a cozy room with great picture windows and valley views. It features and on-suite bathroom with soaking tub and shower. Enjoy the sunsets and starry skies while you soak in this tub and relax in the cozy full daybed for an awesome night's sleep.
*Note there is a third bedroom upstairs that is not accessible to guests. It is an owner's storage area. *
The studio space is located just a few steps out the front door entrance. This sperate building opens up to a small living area with a drink station for coffee, teas and water. There is a dining table that seats two as well as a loveseat. The full bathroom has a spacious shower, sink and toilet, and adjoins the living area for both rooms to use. The larger bedroom features a queen-sized bed with a walkout patio that overlooks the garden area. This room features great valley views, and you can sit in your bed and watch the stars at night. The second bedroom features a queen bed and picture windows with mountain views.
The outdoor areas are excellent for enjoying the outdoors. There is a large concrete patio area with a BBQ and seating for dining.
Enjoy great tasting mountain well water and explore the beautiful San Luis Valley expansive mountain views, Sand Dunes National Park, elegant Sand Hill Cranes, dark night skies for star gazing and be on the look for UFOS, many stories of sightings have been heard around Crestone! There are many local hiking trails nearby the house, some folks suggest the North Crestone Trailhead, Willow Lake is a great day hike, and the Creekside trails along the greenbelts in the Baca Grande Subdivision are spectacular and lush. The White Lotus House is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.
Crestone Colorado is in the middle of the San Luis Valley. There is very limited public transportation in the area. We recommend Four Wheel Drive, or at least- All Wheel Drive if you are looking to come and stay during the Winter Season.

Local people feel grateful to have so many great places to shop and dine right in our small town. There are two small locally owned grocers, where you can find top of the line health food, vitamins and organic whole food. Enjoy dining in one of the locally owned cafes or restaurants and support the local artisans at one of the galleries or gift shops. We love our local thrift stores, so many hidden treasures can be found!

Crestone is situated at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, boasting several fourteen-thousand-foot peaks and pristine alpine lakes for outdoor hiking, camping and fishing. The wildlife refuges and protected forests create incredible opportunities to come close to nature and truly experience the wildlife. Great for bird watching, photography, art, hiking, biking and camping. There are so many ways to appreciate and explore nature around Crestone.
