Family Farm Stay Near Route 66 | Animals & Fire Pit

Yoder's Homestead is a charming hobby farm in beautiful Lawrence county, MO, just three miles south of Route 66. Along with being sparkling clean, we have a kitchen with the basics for cooking and baking, and a dining room for enjoying your meals. There are also four bedrooms and three bathroom, and a spacious living room. Outdoors you will find a lovely yard with a playset, a patio with a firepit, a barn where you can gather your own eggs for breakfast, and other small farm animals for you to enjoy. We have made special effort to make this rental family friendly and it will be the perfect place to get away from it all and relax.

If your check-out date falls on a Sunday, we offer free 6:00 PM Sunday checkout. It's our way of saying thank you.



IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- We kindly ask that there are no fireworks, loud music, or rowdy behavior.

- Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

- Please be aware you will be charged 10% of the total trip at booking and the remaining 90% will be charged to the card on file, thirty days before check-in.

- Absolutely no pets. If a pet is discovered, there will be a $250 upcharge.

Great out of the way place

Wonderful for families and everything young kids would love. Very comfortable and well stocked. Very large house and even larger property and friendly owners.

Great for family time!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The house was spacious, amazingly clean, and extremely comfortable. Everyone enjoyed interacting with the animals- what a treat! If you’re looking to get away with your loved ones for some together time, I suggest this home. Thank you to the lovely hosts who were friendly and helpful!

Wonderful get away with plenty of space!

My husband and I, along with our 5 grown kids enjoyed our time at the property. We were specifically looking for someplace we could stay in this area that provided large common areas for us to gather. It was perfect!

Awesome Family Trip

The house was very comfortable with extra amenities for our grandchild. We enjoyed meeting the animals, gathering eggs and playing outside. The host was friendly and helpful. We hope to return.

Weekend Family Trip

We absolutely fell in love with this place! We had a 3 year old that was in heaven with all the farm animals. I think the adults enjoyed it as much if not more than the kiddo! So peaceful and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back!

Time Away Well Spent

Our family had such an incredible time on the farmstead. We all got to relax and rest, but there was plenty of farm to keep the kids occupied. The house had everything we needed, and Mt. Vernon was an easy commute for groceries. Everyone we encountered could not have been nicer. We will be back!

Great place to stay while in town for the Mt. Vernon Apple Butter Making Festival.

We are vendors attending the Apple Butter Making Festival. This lovely farm house felt like home and was so welcoming and comfortable after a long day at the festival. We will definitely return with family to experience the farm setting. I took off one star because it didn’t have a television set and we were hoping to catch the chiefs game

Great family getaway!

We had a fantastic experience! The positives about this property are far too many to list. From a 1 year old to a 50 year old we all loved it. Surprisingly, we actually enjoyed not having a tv. It is a little piece of heaven on earth. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

LOVE IT!!

We absolutely loved the house, location, and the owners. This would be a great peaceful, quiet, and safe get away for friends, family, etc. This house had everything we could possibly need for all age groups. No TV’s threw us for a loop but we learned how to enjoy each other and family time again without it. Even the teenagers! We were blessed to have found this house and we will most definitely go again.

Great farm house

We have stayed in many VRBO rentals this was by far the cleanest one we have ever stayed in. They supplied plenty of towels and wash cloths even extra sheets and blankets if needed. The kitchen was fully stocked the cabinets and drawers were all cleaned and organized. I would 100 percent recommend this place and i will come and stay again. The little farm our grandchildren loved seeing all the animals and feeding them cookies and some leftovers. A great house with plenty of room for a big group. We didnt even miss it not having a tv. Rent it you wont regret it I promise.
