Blue House In The Parks: No pet fee/Flexible cancellation/on the nature trail

Because of it's location between the parks, the Blue House is a dog owner/nature lovers paradise. If you want to relax and read a book, listen to a record, take a nature walk with your dog, or go for a run this the place for you! The Blue house is located in a safe upscale neighborhood full of historic homes. Huntington's parks have all manner of wildlife, mature trees, and are well maintained by the city. The running/walking path along 4-pole creek is perfect for those traveling to Huntington with pets, nature lovers, and runners alike. We have no pet fee, no weight limit on dogs, and a reasonable cleaning fee of $120. Our cancellation policy is relaxed and we do sometimes make exceptions for health emergencies or dangerous weather conditions. Also, if you are traveling to Huntington to visit a family member in the hospital or to attend a funeral we will waive the cleaning fee for you. If you do bring a pet please use the sofa covers and extra blankets that we provide to protect the furniture. Coffee, creamer, sugar, tea and some snacks are provided for our guests. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, silverware, plates ,bowls,utensils,blender, crockpot, air fryer, a stand up Sunbeam vintage mixer, and cool pyrex baking dishes from the 60s & 70s. We also stock spices, cooking oil, flour, and sugar. This home is located on North Blvd between 3rd and 4th street West along a popular path that connects Ritter and Memorial parks. Built in 1927, this home was remodeled with an eye on showcasing local art and vintage decor, most coming from the Sloane Square Gallery and from other antique dealers located in the Central City Antique district (5 minutes away and a must see for anyone coming to Huntington). We love antique and vintage treasures and have filled this home with them! We also love books and have a very nice, ecclectic mix for our guests. Nearly every Room has several beautiful and interesting vintage lamps to creat a relaxing atmosphere to read or listen to music. If you have thought about doing color drenching in your own home come and try it at the blue house first! This home also has a private fenced back yard and a covered deck with seating. In spring and summer the front and back garden are full of bulbs and blooms. There is a paved parking space for 2 cars directly in front of the house. We have remodeled and updated the house over the last several years to bring it back to its original level of function and comfort. There are 3 bedrooms with a king bed in the Master ( with new Ashley furniture), a full bed in the 2nd bedroom ( with vintage 1970s upholstered headboard and chests of drawers), and a full bed in the 3rd bedroom( with a mid- century headboard and chest of drawers from the 1960s). The king bed in the master bedroom is a Beauty Rest black hybrid mattress that is soft to medium firmness and both of the full beds are memory foam and box spring hybrid mattresses that are soft. We provide sheets, blankets, lots of pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, first aid supplies, and household cleaning supplies.There is a nicely equipped galley kitchen with quartz countertops, a dining room with a table that seats 6, a laundry closet with a stackable full size washer and dryer, one full bath with a walk-in shower, and a half bath. Because the full bath and all of the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, this house would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. Well behaved pets are welcome. We have a reasonable cleaning fee of $120 and no pet fee. Parties are not allowed please. This is a residential neighborhood so we do not want the neighbors disturbed with disruptive noises especially after dark. We have a relaxed and reasonable cancellation policy and a fast response time for questions or any issues that may come up. Wi-Fi and 1 Gbps high speed Internet are provided for guests. There is a large smart TV with basic cable and Peacock. Sheets, bedding, lots of pillows, towels, soap, shampoo, lotion, cleaning supplies, coffee, creamer and some snacks are provided for your convenience. Smoking is permitted on the back deck only. Vaping inside of the house is allowed. We have stayed at many VRBO homes and understand that travel can be stressful.
