Your stay at Wild Rose Farm has three ensuite bedrooms including all the comforts of home with gracious hospitality. We are a pet friendly hotel and welcome your four-pawed family members.

A cozy bed is essential to a great night's stay.... we're proud of freshly ironed linens, fluffy towels and comfortable sitting areas in each room.

Coffee and tea are always in the butler's pantry and If it's chilly, we'll set a fire in the field-stone fireplace in the barn where you can relax by watching the 85-inch TV, reading or shooting some pool!

When the sun is out, please enjoy the patio looking out on the terrace garden.

Wild Rose Farm is 5 minutes from Portland which was voted the best foodie city in the USA.

Such a beautiful property! We had 8 adults, a 3 year old and 2 dogs and plenty of room! The back deck was a peaceful place to have meals and just hang out. The barn was a fun place to play pool. All of the common areas had plenty of room to relax. I highly recommend this spot if you want a relaxing spot close to Portland.

Very large space, great for families. There are three nicely apppointed bedrooms, each with a full bath. Additional sleeping spaces are in dens/living rooms on couches. Great location for an event at the Portland Yacht Club, just 5 minutes away. Beautiful gardens and big kitchen and barn for family gathering. Enjoyable stay.

Spectacular home! Gorgeous gardens, spacious home, so many rooms; fun space in the barn with a pin ball machine and pool table, amazing kitchen. Absolutely a perfect space. Almost wish we were not so busy with our son’s wedding so we could have hung out at the space more! It was great

Had some blips getting started, but host was right there helping us make everything work. Very nice location if visiting Portland but don't want to stay in Portland. It was a family vacation and the game room was fun for all!

Fabulous house! Awesome Host!

We had a spectacular weekend at this house. Great space, super clean, and lots of charm. Our host, John, was really great and immediately responsive to any questions. We will definitely return!

Wild Rose Farm

Charming, large, historic house (earliest part 1806) with upscale kitchen and attached barn/entertainment space. Pleasant, helpful managers.

Farmhouse Fun

Enjoyed being more in the country, yet easy to drive to Portland and to Manchester. Loved having the pool table. Barn is terrific! Lots of room to spread out. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Loved the owner's mom. She was very welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Great farmhouse, close to Portland

We loved our trip to Falmouth and greater Portland area! The farmhouse was very clean, has a lot of charm, and had plenty of extra linens/towels. We fit 4 adults and 4 kids with no problem. The only thing we were not prepared for was the lack of air conditioning in the downstairs: kitchen, dining room, living room or barn rec room, which is the only place there is a tv. There were window units in the bedrooms so sleeping was comfortable. John was a responsive host as well.

Great house with lots of space

We stayed as a group of guys looking to explore Portland. The location was great - very close to main roads taking you into Portland and convenient grocery shopping. There is a finished barn-like structure that is a great area to hang out - pool table, pinball, tv/couches. Beds were comfortable and host was responsive and we had no issues. I will say the host could make it more clear that they live on the premises. We were very surprised to see the host family (with kids) in a house fully attached to the one in which we were staying, and connected by a door that does not lock. For groups looking for a location with privacy, that may be a concern. It ended up not being an issue for us as we were mostly out and about.

A lovely old farmhouse

I'll start with the positives.This house is adorable. It reminded me of my grandmother's farmhouse. The kitchen and butler's pantry are modern, updated, and well-stocked for meal prep and cooking. There is a barn room not shown in the house pictures that is fabulous for family games or movie watching. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable.Now for the negatives:The bathrooms are badly in need of remodeling. In one of the bathrooms, we could get scalding hot or very cold water, but not a mix for showering. There are 2 staircases. One is steep. The other is VERY steep. The steps leading to the entry door are stone and uneven. The owner really needs to add a handrail there.If you like old quirky houses, this one is for you. If you have trouble with stairs or balance issues, look elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay as a family (ages 2yrs to 95yrs). The home was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds throughout (including the pull out sofa). The large deck and outside seating area along with the barn space with fireplace, pool table and pinball machine were satisfying spaces for the whole family to gather. We made good use of the well appointed kitchen. John was available and accomadating for all questions and needs.

The location was great as our agenda was to visit towns along the coast . The beds were very comfortable including the downstairs sofa bed . We spent some of our down time relaxing in the “barn” which was very comfortable . The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed .
