Location was great. Little bit of a walk to the ocean, but not terrible. Could do the ocean morning and during the day, then pool and lazy river in the evening and down to the bay at night to catch crabs with the kiddos. Everything we needed was there could’ve been just a little bit cleaner and a couple things but overall it was a great place to stay.

The place itself was very nice, but the room—specifically its furniture—was very damaged and quite old. We are a family of five, and we couldn't sit together to watch TV because there was only one sofa—which was also extremely uncomfortable. We simply didn't have enough seating space for everyone to watch together; there were two small armchairs, but they were incredibly uncomfortable for watching television. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I recommend replacing the furniture

Great condo and property

We enjoyed our stay at Osprey 505. It seemed to have everything we needed. I think the furnishings/decor could use a little updating, but overall it was great.

Our room was beautiful and comfortably accommodated our family of six. Our girls stayed in the guest bedroom, our boys slept in the twin beds, and my husband and I enjoyed the spacious master bedroom. The layout worked perfectly for our family.The balcony overlooked the lazy river and hot tubs, offering a beautiful view that we enjoyed every day. The only minor downside was that it could have benefited from an afternoon skimming, as insects and seeds from the nearby trees tended to collect in the water.The walk to the beach was a little longer than we expected—about 10 to 15 minutes—but it was an easy, pleasant walk as long as you planned to stay for a while instead of making multiple trips back and forth.One disappointment was that our unit did not include access to the onsite gym. As someone who enjoys working out, I missed having that option. Thankfully, we still got plenty of exercise from all the walking, and we did bodyweight workouts on the balcony while enjoying the beautiful view.One of the best parts of staying at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort was the location. There were so many things within walking distance, including restaurants, souvenir shops, the fishing pier, and an adventure area with an arcade, mini golf, and go-karts. We also booked a Crab Island excursion with the tour company located right next door, which was incredibly convenient and one of the highlights of our trip.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning

Nice condo at a great resort. Comfy beds and everything you need. All rooms have ceiling fans, which was a plus for us!

Relaxing and beautiful!!

Our unit was roomy, clean, and had beautiful views! The staff works to keep the resort clean. The only complaint was the neighbors playing loud music and smoking so we’d smell it. It wasn’t crowded in May, but if it were, it may have been more tight quarters on elevators, pools, etc. But it was roomy in May!

June Vacation Osprey 505

This is a very nice condo in a great resort. There was a lot of space to accommodate 6 adults and 2 kids. It wasn’t too crowded in any of the pools. and the time we had to wait more than a couple of minutes for an elevator was on Saturday morning when a lot of others were checking out as well. That wasn’t even too long of a wait considering one of the elevators wasn’t working.

First let's start with the pros: Easy walk to the beach. Couple elevator rides and a walk across the skybridge and you are there! We loved the lazy river at the resort. Bonus, you can see the lazy river from the balcony, so I could watch my kiddos. Getting to downtown Destin was a quick drive across the bridge. Far enough away to enjoy less traffic and people but close enough we could get to everything in about 10-15 minutes. Now the cons: This place is in need of some love and updates. They are still using VHS for technology. I'm not to old (almost 50) but lord I haven't seen VHS since high school. There was also a bubble TV in one room and the other TV's were super small. The living room has a loveseat (not couch) it only fits two people and the other two chairs are so small and uncomfortable. If you want to watch TV as a family, you are most likely sitting at the kitchen table. The beds were comfortable enough, but thank god we brought our own pillows because I think the pillows that are on the bed are from when the place was built. I feel like if the owners put some money, time, and attention in this place it could have been a lot better. The trash can was broken also and DEFINETLY bring your own supplies. They provide you with some necessities, but it was very limited. For example, one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 trash bags and NO cleaning supplies or soap, which I found rare for a VRBO.
