Welcome to Firefly Mountain Retreat! This renovated 3-level cabin is located just minutes from downtown Helen with all the attractions, shopping and dining that the Alpine Village has to offer. There is parking for at least 3 cars and easy access into the main level of the cabin.

This beautiful cabin offers top amenities throughout, with one bedroom and bath on each of the 3 levels, a game room with three arcade games, a large back deck with a hot tub, a cozy fire pit area, mountain views with amazing sunsets, and much more...

The main level features a spacious open-plan living area, a gorgeous, modern kitchen, dining area, master king bedroom, full bathroom and access to the main deck with a gas grill.

The living room offers a beautiful stacked-stone gas fireplace, plush leather furniture, a large flat-screen Smart TV and Free Wi-Fi. The gourmet kitchen features stainless appliances, and granite countertops. The dining area provides seating for 6 guests. The main level master bedroom offers a king bed, large flat-screen HDTV and a full bath with walk-in shower.

The upper level offers a master bedroom/loft with a king size bed, large flat-screen TV and a bathroom with a beautiful white subway tiled walk-in shower. The sliding glass doors lead out to the top deck for spectacular daylight views of the mountains or awesome stargazing nights.

The lower level features the game room with the most comfortable couch you could imagine. The game room offers a large flat-screen HDTV, three different arcade machines and board games for the whole family. The downstairs bedroom features a queen bee bed with a private bath and another walk-in shower. The washer/dryer is located on this level for your convenience.

The deck off the game room is where you will find the hot tub, wood-burning fire pit, the picnic table with 6 chairs and Amish Poly Wood rocking chairs where you and your guests can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Firefly Mountain Retreat is a Luxury Property and is available to families or to guests 25 years and older.
• Parking: Space is available for 4 vehicles.
• Access: Guests will receive a gate code for the community. The road and driveway are dirt and gravel..
• Pets: Firefly Mountain Retreat is Not pet friendly. No pets allowed.
• Location: 6 miles to downtown Helen.

Wonderful house, view, and location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay during Spring Break 2025 at this property. The house was perfect. It was very clean and well maintained. The basement was fun with lots of board games and arcade games to choose from. The Mountain Views were beautiful as well as the many sunsets we saw. The kids loved the hot tub and fire pit. I think the deck wood will need to be replaced soon, but other than that we were very happy we got to stay at this house. The property management company was also very easy to work with.

Fantastic Firefly

My wife and two young daughters stayed over New Years 2025. This place was truly wonderful. I was worried that the view of the mountains would not be as great in person as shown online. I was completely wrong. The view is stunning, especially from the cozy top floor deck. My wife and I actually ended up sleeping on the top floor because it was so well appointed and had such a great view. The main floor has a large “master” style bedroom and private bath

Beautiful views close to everything!

My husband and I had a great time enjoying this beautiful property. The views, and sunsets were just breath taking. The house had many amenities and we had a great time playing the video games and enjoying the hot tub. This was our first time in the area and we loved the convenience of both Cleveland and Helen being so close and easy to get to. Helen is beautiful all decorated for the holidays and the town itself is adorable and we really enjoyed exploring. We hiked beautiful Anna Ruby falls, Dukes creek falls, minihaha falls, panther and angel creek falls All which were between 15 - 45 minutes away. This is a perfect area and will definitely be back.

Wedding Retreat

We had a wedding to attend and decided to make a mini vacation out of it. The Firefly was the perfect fit. A beautiful home with an even more beautiful view. It gave us a place to recharge from wedding activities and make the time our own. When family came to visit before the wedding, they were blown away by our accommodations and immediately asked for the link to the house. Thank you to Georgia Mountain Rentals for making us feel so welcome and providing us with a perfect stay.

Beautiful home in beautiful location

This house was lovely, just as the pictures showed. Having (comfortable!) beds on each level was perfect for the three couples staying there, and each floor has its own outside space, which is wonderful. The hot tub was amazing; I have stayed at rental homes in the past where the hot tubs were temperature controlled, which is understandable from the owner's perspective, but really disappointing for the renters. This hot tub stayed at the temperature we programmed it, which allowed us to view the stars as long as we wanted during the winter! The only downside was I was a little worried when I did not have the gate code 15 minutes prior to check in, and that worry increased when we arrived at the location 3 minutes prior to check in. The redeeming fact was that the management company answered as soon as I called and gave insight as to why they had not sent the code yet: the cleaners had not yet left. This irked me because the plan was made well in advance, but they gave us the code and we went anyway. The cleaner was done within 5 minutes of our arrival. Another downside: there was no soap/shampoo/conditioner in the showers, so we had to use the hand soap at the sink. It wasn't a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have those basic items stocked. I was very grateful that anytime I called the management office, they answered and were very courteous. They also shipped my expensive pillow back to me when I left it (at my expense of course, but it wasn't much).

We will definitely be back , cannot say enough good things! Only thing I would say is kitchen needs to be stocked a little better , need mixing bowls .

Amazing rental in North Georgia!

Everything is new, the kitchen is well stocked. The bed was comfortable and had nice linens. The house was even decorated for fall. There were many nice touches. The view of the mountains at sunset was spectacular. The house is very close to downtown Helen and convenient for going to Oktoberfest. Will be back.

Beautiful View, Clean and Comfortable and close to Helen

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Firstly, I would recommend a 4WD, or at least an SUV type vehicle as the driveway up the mountain is a steep, dirt road and quite bumpy. The staff at the management company were friendly and made sure that we had the community’s gate code and the code to the cabin’s front door prior to arrival. The cabin was immaculately clean and had all of the necessary amenities that were required by city dwellers, such as internet, smart TV’s, a microwave, toaster, coffee machine etc. Initially, the fire place was not functioning, but my phone call to the management company resulted in someone coming over and fixing the fireplace promptly. It should be noted that the fireplace was not working again on Sunday. I called the management company and someone immediately picked up the phone, but she explained that no one was available to come over on a Sunday. Not sure how an actual emergency would have been handled, but I was able to get the fireplace working and we still were able to enjoy the ambiance of the fireplace. The beds and pillows were comfortable and linens were clean. The recliner couches were also comfortable. The game room was a nice addition, and is on the same lower level in the cabin as the hot tub.We did notice a few large spiders, and their webs on the porches and on the exterior of the cabin. Rather than have my wife yell at me ( as she is afraid of spiders) I armed myself with a broom and removed the spiders, their webs and some cob webs that were on the balcony and porch. On one of the mornings, I saw a hummingbird fly by the bedroom balcony! We had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return again.
