Imagine being surrounded by nature away from everything but still only minutes from all the luxuries of what you need & want. Picturesque community in the heart of Portage Lakes that reminds you of what life used to be like. Quiet & enjoyable, whether your cooking out, kayaking on the lake, swimming, or relaxing with a fishing pole. This is a hunting & fishing paradise.
Need or forgot something, Acme fresh market is less than 5 minutes away with no traffic along with an array of restaurants & shops. Not to mention endless parks, biking & hiking trails. 20-25 mins will get you to The Pro Football Hall of Fame, Akron Zoo, The Science Center, Cuyahoga National Forest & Golf courses. The Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame is 40-45 mins & the No.1 Amusement Park in the World Cedar Point is just over an hour away.
What you will notice about what we are trying to do here is make everything less stressful. Like providing outdoor gas grill, kayaks with life vests for all sizes, Tiki Torches for those nights whether you need them or just want them for ambiance. We also try to surround you with plants & flowers. Binoculars to watch humming birds & owls, wood peckers and other beautiful birds. Everything nature has to offer is just a stay away. We have completely remodeled everything from Fresh paint, New furniture, wood floors, cabinets to the granite counter tops and then some. It will stay nice and (clean) for every guest that stays with us, that's our promise to you. We believe we will be your come back destination. See You Soon... P.S. People with mobility or weight issues may have trouble at our location. Also if you a complain alot & carry a negative energy. Please don't consider us. Anyone can find something wrong with anything. But nobody wants to hear or read about it.

Great property and location. Beautiful views from the deck and bedroom. No dishwasher so a drying rack would be nice but other than that, highly recommend the property.

This lovely little cottage is nestled in the middle of an established lakefront neighborhood. Very clean and comfortable. The deck and backyard overlooking the lake is extremely relaxing. Watching all the local wildlife: Ospreys, Cormorants, Beaver, Muskrat, BIG fish a jumping! was worth every penny.

Perfect little spot for a couple, small family of 4 or a gals trip. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Cottage size was perfect for us girls. Had everything we needed and then some. Would enjoy staying here again in the future. Beautiful picture views of the lake literally at your back door. Sits right on the lakes and kayaks were nice having. We definitely took advantage of them while we were there. Host was perfect and even gave me heads up on a little issue that was not a big concern since they had a back up plan. All in all this place was the perfect spot on the lakes to kick back, unwind and take in the beautiful views and fresh breeze!

Steve was an amazing host. The house was everything described plus more. The view of the lake 1st thing in the morning amazing, fishing, kayaking. Steve stopped by to introduce himself and make sure everything was good I liked that in a host. I only got to stay 2 days but it was definitely not long enough. Thank you Steve. Wendi and Austin

Didn’t have much luck fishing but the stay was beautiful! Saw some swans, the home had everything we needed, and the hosts were kind and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lil getaway!

My husband and I stayed for four nights. The host was wonderful and the property is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the animals, both in and out of the water. An extra bonus was getting to see a bald eagle land in a neighboring tree!! The kayaks were a nice bonus and the local area was great too. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing visit!

Such a nice host! Beautiful property to sit outside with coffee or a glass of wine in the evening (we did both). Enjoyed the park and hall of fame the back to the lake to relax. So many interesting birds active around the water. Place was spotless. PS If you like breweries there are many good ones around.

Very quiet place to stay. Do not recommend staying more than 2 nights. We booked the place for 7 days/nights and left after3 nights. The place was very sparce. Only seating at table/stools and sofas. Not a warm or inviting atmosphere. The living room TV went out after the first 2 nights, took a day to get ahold of the owner. He was unable to give us the right instructions to get it working again. This was Friday evening. Earlier after initial contact he said he'd be back late Saturday PM and would be over first thing in the morning. SINCE the only places to see the other TVs were bedrooms, I don't watch TV in BED it's hard on my back and neck. Non the less we left Friday night.

Awesome place to stay!

We loved this place and plan to return. It was exactly as described, very clean, host was very accommodating, located close to stores and restaurants, friendly neighbors, great fishing and the view of the lake and wildlife was outstanding! We highly recommend this place and hope to return!

I had an amazing weekend with my two best friends. The back patio was our favorite spot. The water, the birds, everything was amazing. I would highly recommend this place for family or friends for a weekend getaway.. communication was awesome and everything was top-notch.

We needed a place to disconnect and enjoy some downtime. This was perfect. The lake was so calm and we loved watching the birds. It was a little too chilly to take the kayaks out but I know it would have been an amazing way to see the local wildlife. The proximity to Akron made it an easy trip to see the local sites, too! Definitely worth the trip.
