A very nice quiet place in the country. The oak tree was amazing!! You feel the need to approach it with a kind of reverence. Beautiful and breathtaking. Not too far from other small towns with lots a back roads to get there. Being unreasonably warm for late September, the one window unit struggled to keep the place cool. It is all one open room (aside from the bathroom). Very nice and open but difficult to cool. The hot tub is actually a whirlpool tub on the porch. I believe it does say whirlpool in the description somewhere but I did not see that until we were there. Very pretty piece of property. We enjoyed our short trip.

Beautiful property, great cabin, clean, our dog, loved playing with the cows. The 400 year old oak tree behind the cabin was glorious, a must see. Walter was very helpful and kind.

Incredible cabin with a super homie feel. Genuinely kind host with a relaxing atmosphere. Sweet dogs and curious cows made us feel right at home! Definitely plan to visit again!

We had such a good time sitting under the 400 year old tree, fishing at the pond, visiting the cows and playing with the dog Annie! Even if the pond is low from the drought, the fishing is great trust me!!! We caught bass and perch, it is a fun teaching pond for my daughter to learn how to fish for bass because they sure were biting! Walter is a great host, the muffins us feel welcome!

This was such a beautiful place and I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a romantic getaway. The cabin/cottage is nice and the 400 year old oak tree is the most amazing tree that I’ve ever seen. The host was extremely nice and very accommodating. We’re definitely going back.

Walter was an excellent host. The pastries and fresh fruit were a sweet and much appreciated touch. The best part of our stay was the quiet mornings on the back porch and the quiet evenings around the fire. The cabin was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. It was centered between Brenham and Round Top which worked out perfect for our anniversary getaway and shopping trip.

Wonderful place

Great place for my family of three, beautiful ranch, love the tree in the back, over 400 years, relaxing place, and did fish in the pond, very close to Round Top .

This was our second visit to the property. It was once again a quiet, peaceful stay. Walter greeted us upon our arrival, had a nice fruit tray in the fridge and muffin tray on the table. Hot tub was nice, sitting by the fire and Walter collected a bunch of wood to burn for us.

If you want to have a quiet place to stay in the country, this is the place to be. It was so peaceful! The owner had a tray of pastries and fresh fruit in the fridge waiting for us! The king bed is comfortable. The 400 year old tree in the backyard was breathtaking!!

Country living

Absolutely loved this little country farm house setting. Very quiet and peaceful. Away from all the noise of the city. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet get away.

Quiet. No light pollution. Stars were breathtaking. Century 4X oak tree was magical. Super-nice owners on property. Easy drive into Round Top and Brenham with excellent antique shopping. Super-pet-friendly (our Yorkies love roaming the yard).

Went with my new wife for our honey moon it was just amazing and perfect! Can’t wait to go back ! We’re definitely making this a spot we come to every year and make more memories and visit Sophie and can’t forget the 2 cutest baby cow that greeted me every morning
