Beautiful lodge; all appliances very good shape, kitchen is fully stocked, living area is expansive, rear deck is amazing, their grounds are beautiful. It is truly a remarkable place. This was our fourth year here and all 8 of us will be coming back again

Great property. Clean and well stocked with a great kitchen to cook for 8 people. We love the views and hiking some of the rustic trails. And we always get a few games of basketball in.

The lodge was perfect for our family coming together for my nephew’s graduation. The house had plenty to keep us entertained and allow us to relax. The house was nice - better furniture and appliances than you often see in a vacation rental. And it was super clean (also not often seen in vacation rentals). Definitely recommend.

This property was beautiful. Clean and comfy bedrooms, a grand living area with a beautiful fireplace, and a hot tub under the stars awaits you at this lodge! The host was also very responsive. Arrived to a bottle of sparkling juice, gourmet popcorn and a lovely Christmas tree. I highly recommend this lodge!

The place was clean and perfect for a family/friends hang out. Apent a lot od time in the home since we were old buddies hanging out. Communication was great and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Absolutely gorgeous home!

This is one of the most beautiful homes we've rented thus far. It was an absolute amazing weekend with our family and the peace and tranquility this property gave was much needed.

Lovely

Excellent property. High class. Wonderful retreat. There was a bad storm, but the property back-up generator kept us with power. I will stay again.

Woderful

Second time we stayed here. 8 of us, long weekend. Great space. Very clean. The cabin/mansion is beautiful and well kept. All appliances work. Cabinets well supplied. Beds comfortable. Another fantastic stay.

Great view

Overall we loved the property and the view was spectacular. We couldn’t get the back sliding door to lock which was a bit concerning. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and we enjoyed having two tables - one to eat on and one for our puzzling. Having the five bedrooms and four baths was a plus for our group.

Excellent Getaway

Loved this place. Very clean and fresh. Amazing views. We were here during a hurricane but besides the whipping trees outside you wouldn't have known. No issue with power or internet. We loved the big dining area, perfect for board games to pair with the pool table competitions. Long switchback driveway makes you feel like you are truly out there. We will look to stay again next year.

Thanksgiving Rendezvous at the Lodge

Texter Mountain became the perfect location for our family to gather for our Thanksgiving celebration. One family of nine traveled from upstate New York and stayed at the lodge, while seven others, who live locally joined them each day to reconnect and enjoy the beautiful location. There was plenty of room in the large living area to cook, eat, and gather around to sing or watch the large-screen TV. The five bedrooms and four bathrooms were well appointed and comfortable. The two refrigerators and two ovens helped make our storage and cooking time more enjoyable. We had a great time in a beautiful spot!

Fantastic Family Christmas

We booked the Texter Mountain Lodge for our family to gather for Christmas. The large great room with 2 tables and well stocked kitchen made our Christmas Dinner easy to make and enjoy as a family. Opening presents by the fire in the fireplace created an ambiance that we will remember forever. We even got out on the trails to get some exercise. There was one plumbing issue upon arrival and the response from the owners was very fast. Unfortunately they no longer allow pets, because if they would, we would book it every year. It's such a great property to relax and enjoy time with a large group.

Great place to stay for a big family

We had a great time at this property. Family came from NY, VA, and ME for a wedding. There were nine of us - all relatives of the groom - from both sides. So the five bedrooms and four baths were perfect for our needs. Everyone had space and bathrooms for showers - getting ready for the big day. The pool table was great entertainment for us every day that we were there. Everyone also enjoyed the screened in porch - mainly for a relaxing place to have their morning coffee with a great view before starting a busy day. The kitchen is great and well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware and cooking utensils, two refrigerators, and two ovens, etc. Some of us also took walks on the trails around the lodge for some exercise and mountain fresh air. This place is well worth the money - you will have a great time as well. I think everyone who stayed - would recommend it.

A great house in a great location.

We loved the location and the house and the amazing view and porches. The driveway to the house was well-maintained with good signage. The house was clean and kitchen was pretty well stocked. We were told 2 days prior that the internet was down but they were getting someone to come out and look. They came out Monday but issue wasn’t resolved until Thursday eve. I don’t have unlimited minutes (never needed them) so we ran out of data and had to pay extra for that during the week. There was no offer to compensate us for this. We even got VRBO messages that were time sensitive (re: timing of the internet service guys), but we couldn’t get them without internet so had an early surprise visitor. The frig made knocking noises during the night and wasn’t making ice when we got there (solid ice block inside). The built-in soap dispensers in kitchen & bath were empty and we had to hunt around for soap bottles (they were in a cupboard, so there were some). The grill is far from the kitchen and only appeared to have one uneven burner that worked. Other things were more personal preference and relatively minor: TV sits up high, no footstools, the master bed was quite hard, and we came back to find a truck sitting by the garage while we had rented a private house.

Rainy weekend so we didn’t experience outdoor amenities. Lodge was beautiful and well appointed. Loved the fireplace. Could use more silverware! Clean and very accommodating.
