My boyfriend and I stayed in the kingfisher cabin here and had a great time. The cabin was perfect for us. We had a day adventure to Nelson and Ainsworth hot springs, and another day just stayed in town and checked out the Crawford Bay Area. Joan the host was very easy to chat with before the trip, and check in and out was simple! The nature around is just beautiful! Lots of birds and deer around the cabin. I would recommend this spot for anyone wanting for a relaxing getaway! We enjoyed the grassy area to play ladder ball and badminton in the evenings as well.

This property is serene, beautiful and quiet. The cabin was 5 star - very comfortable with all the basics provided,Joan is an incredible host and just a really great person. So kind and generous with her time,I had suffered a fall down some stairs which limited my mobility a lot. Joan immediately stepped up offering to take my dog for walks. Teddy loved her.I can’t say enough about the accommodations and our wonderful host Joan.

This was our first VRBO experience and we would definitely do it all over again. The area was great, the home was clean and obviously well cared for. The only critique would be to show more pictures of the home and surrounding area. I was under the impression when we booked that it was more secluded than it actually was. This was not a big deal at all but a few more photos of the surrounding property on the listing would help. The host was very lovely and we appreciated that she made it known she was there if we needed but left us to our privacy. We loved the area and hope to go back some day.

Awesome cabin!

Really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Great location for exploring the great outdoors. Only suggestion we have is a firepit for each cabin so that you don't feel like your invading someone else's space. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful cabin on a very nice partially wooded property. Quiet, secluded, yet close to Crawford Bay. Kitchen was nicely outfitted. Beds were comfortable. Lots of windows to let in cool mountain air in the evenings helped keep the cabin pleasant during the hot days.

Beautiful Property and Cabin

Our family has stayed 2yrs in a row since its such a beautiful place. The cabin is perfect, private, comfortable and has everything you need. The hosts are very nice, welcoming and commicate well. The property is amazing and there's beautiful walks right from the cabin. We really hope to stay again next year.

Our stay at the Kingfisher cabin was short and sweet. We unfortunately didn’t get to spend much time at the cabin/property as we were out all day hiking but hope to come back and properly enjoy it. The cabin itself is sparkling clean, inviting and is well appointed. Comfortable beds, great layout and a lovely porch to relax on. Joan was great to deal with and made us feel at home.

Amazing and relaxing

It was exactly what we hoped for. Trails to walk the dogs, cozy well equipped cabin, extra activities (fire pit and lawn games) Our host provided insight to areas that we could take our dogs for playing in the lake.

Great property Don’t trust goggle maps, tells you that you have arrived, not. Keep driving down the road, it’s clearly marked.

Fabulous!

My friend had the most wonderful time staying at the Kootenay Lake Forest Cabin in Crawford bay! The cabin was very open and spacious. We each had a lovely bedroom! The cabin is in a delightful area with a gorgeous forest to explore and a sweet grass area and glorious garden in front. Joan was so helpful with all of her suggestions which helped us discover many amazing places! We were close to the town of Crawford Bay and looooved the artisans of the town and the delicious dinner at the Black Salt Cafe! I will definitely stay at the forest cabin again the next time I'm in Crawford Bay!!
