Nice but one flaw

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was nice home with big living room and decent kitchen. Stayed here with 3 other guys for a golf trip. Each of us had a bedroom to ourselves and we didn't have to share bathrooms. And the bathrooms had the flaw, absolutely no towel racks, no place in the showers for soap or shampoo bottles plus the shower heads in the main bathroom were very high. I'm 5'11" and just able to reach them. Luckily my wife was not with me of she would not be able to adjust the shower direction or spray pattern.

This is a great cottage! Plenty of room and loved the location and decor. Large dining table for meals, jigsaw puzzles and mahjong! Nice patio with another table and gas grill! The kids loved the heated pool. I highly recommend this cottage and we plan to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay…beautiful home. It looks like the flooring in the dining area needs some repair. The pool was great once the heater was fixed. Thanks again!

Very nice property!

This property is newly built with a pleasant, modern beach decor. Very clean with a nicely supplied kitchen and bedding, We would definitely rent here again.

We enjoyed our time at Gulf Shores. The communication was excellent. Julie answered all of our questions in a timely manner.

Favorite Beach Place

Everything was perfect! The cottage has everything you need. You don’t need to leave except go to the beach (which is a short walk). It’s clean, it’s beautiful and my absolute favorite for a quiet family get away! Also, two amazing restaurants on the property!

It really is the gulf at the beach !

This house was clean and my entire family felt super comfortable! Plenty of room and space ! The pool was amazing and even the short walk to the beach was so convenient. Host was super attentive and felt like they were on standby ready to fix any issues we had! The area felt super safe and the staff issuing rides were so helpful and polite!

A slice of heaven

Fantastic resort! We absolutely loved the evening events - petting zoo - mechanical shark rides - water slides - live music! The beach access was perfect - we rented chairs and umbrellas each day, we enjoyed the pool at the clubhouse and still had our own private pool to come back to. We grilled dinner and watched the NBA draft on the outdoor TV while everyone swam. We had a fantastic dinner overlooking the ocean in the cluhouse restaurant. Highly recommend. House was beautiful, clean, and roomy!

Gulf Shore Vacation

The house was a perfect fit for a family of 9. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach. There are tennis, raquet, and pickle ball courts. The house felt like a home away from home, and we cannot wait to come back. It is a bit a drive to orange beach and gulf shores, but a perfect location if you want to be away from the crowds.

Tennis Tournament Get Away

We are all 65 and older ladies who still play tennis and enjoy competing in tournaments. The house was so perfect for us, after a long day on the courts we had a beautiful new home with pool, comfortably furnished, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the beds were so luxurious with great linens we slept great! I will recommend this property to my family and friends.

Perfect Christmas Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time with 9 adult family members from NC, TX and TN. The comfortable beds, heated pool, beach, sleeping arrangements, technology, pickle ball court and grill were all used by us. The dining table was perfect not only for meals but for all of our favorite games we played. Kitchen was very conveniently laid out for buffet eating and outdoor seating was pleasant.

Beach Club #41

The house was very nice but we did have a few issues. The BBQ pit was very dirty when we got there and had to clean all the grates and grease pan ourselves. There was paint peeling off the stairway wall and one cabinet did not close. Other than these small things, we had a great time. Property was very nice and easily accessible!

It's the Gulf

Check in was easy, however the upstairs and downstairs air conditioner were not working properly. It was 85 degrees at check in. Repair man came right away and we thought issued was solved. The upstairs still didn't get cool. Repair man came back out on third day, because we didn't discover issue with upstairs ac unit until late the second night hadn't been resolved. By the last night, the ac was fixed upstairs. Besides the ac issue, we enjoyed our stay. The pool was great for all the kids.

Perfect location with lots of amenities. So many fun things for families to do in the complex. The kitchen was great for cooking for large family gathering. Management is wonderful and very responsive. Grill doesn’t cook well. The backyard pool is wonderful and fenced in. Neighbors are very close, we could easily chat with them over the fence so not a place for anyone wanting space or privacy. The beach is a short walk away. Beach chairs are 55/day and you do have to purchase a wrist band if you want the public pool, so just be prepared for pricy amenities outside of the home. Just read the instructions closely when you check in! They literally leave one roll of toilet paper and one garbage bag and one dishwasher pod. The kitchen has lots of furnishings but is completely cleared of things like salt and coffee filters between stays. So it feels like a new home when you check in, but you need to be prepared to bring or buy everything a house needs for the stay. The good thing is they communicate this clearly, as long as you read everything so you’re not surprised. There is a Wal-Mart 15 minutes away that does delivery!

Broken promises

I have rented many properties through VRBO. This has been by far my worst. They promised a warm pool. It never got warm. The technician lied and said it would be warm in 3 hours. We have a pool at home and it takes 12 to 24. The house and the pool were dirty with no attempts to correct the issue. There was a Desani water bottle (trash) behind the master bedroom nightstand. The kitchen potholder and towels were dirty. This was very disappointing my family was invited to a warm pool because we have a cold one at home. We were nickeled and dimed to death. Charge $200 for parking which is ridiculous. I will NEVER again.

Unfortunately, We have no control over the parking fee that the resort charges, but it is stated in our listing and all correspondence sent to our guests. The pool was heated as soon as you let us know that you wanted it heated, however, it is not a hot tub, it will not heat to 100 degrees. I am so sorry that you were not happy with our home and I hope you are able to find accommodations that suit you better in the future.

Great location for our family of six adults and three kids (7, 4, and 2). No hidden surprises in description. Guests should be aware that you are 15 to 20 minutes from a full service grocery store. There is a small shop on site and a Dollar General within five minutes. The only snag we had was a problem with the hot water. It was out on the first night and part of the second day but the staff jumped on it ASAP. I was so pleased with their quick and personal response. The technician came out and worked hard to get it repaired. Everything else was fine the remainder of the trip. The pool was great. Loved the property location and it’s a short walk to the beach. Guests should also be aware that you will need to provide anything/everything grocery related… from salt and pepper to aluminum foil. Kitchen is stocked well with plates and other needed items. Air conditioning worked well. The fireworks on Friday night were amazing! You can easily see them out the front door…Clear view right between the two of the Beach club towers. Food trucks were great! It was nice being on a property with other available amenities. Hated to leave!!

This property was perfect for our family of 10. We loved every single moment. The patio and pool were our favorite places to be. The house is absolutely gorgeous and very clean. We could not have asked for a better vacation.

We had such a great stay at Its the Gulf! Our group consisted of 6 adults and 3 children under 4. We appreciated that 3 of the 5 bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped. The kids enjoyed the pool (we requested that it be heated and had no issues). I liked the outdoor table and TV. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach which was beautiful! Our only “issue” was that there were no towel bars or hooks in the bathrooms??Overall, we had a great trip! Very pleased with the property and would definitely stay again!!
