Bakari House is an absolutely unique place in Exuma and the Bahamas. This beautiful home is located on a 2 acre private garden, stunningly overlooking the turquoise sea of the Exumas and offers everything you could possibly want. 4 large bedrooms can accomodate 8 guests, 2 outdoor showers, a spacious living room, a fully equipped state of the art kitchen with island, a large porch with loungers and dining table. There is a Webber BBQ to create delicious dinners, as well as an ice maker and a wine center guarantees cool drinks for loveley and romantic evenings. Enjoy also the infinity pool and the heated spa, or spend a relaxing day on your own dock, fishing or just hanging out. You also can rent a boat from our partners Bahamas Boat Rental and keep it for your stay at our private dock. Explore the beaches and coves of Moriah Harbour National Sea Park, right in front of Bakari House with the boat or our kayaks. This place is perfect for those looking for peace, relaxation, style and comfort or some adventure. Bakari House is located in Hartswell, Great Exuma, just about 20 minutes from George Town.

Absolutely amazing property exactly as advertised. Views were beautiful and location was perfect, kayaking and paddle boarding to the marine sanctuary. Staff was amazing, there to help if needed.

Magical stay at the Bahari!

Our family absolutely loved our stay here! We were so impressed with all the nice decorations and furnishings and kitchen supplies! And the view absolutely cannot be matched! Highly recommend!

Awesome!

We had the very best week at Bahari house. The house is absolutely beautiful! The rooms were decorated so nice and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we love the location. The pool and hot tub are an added bonus. We rented a boat for the week and the dock is great! If you’re considering this house, just do it. U won’t regret. We hope to be back ASAP!

The house was amazing it is exactly like the photos. We had a wonderful time and enjoy the view ever morning looking at the beach. Want to say a big thank you to Monica she was very helpful in the things we needed. Monica you went out of your way to get us a car and snorkel equipment. Thank you again.

Perfect family getaway - highly recommend!

Our family had a wonderful week staying at Bahari house. The views are unbeatable and the house gives you plenty of space to both enjoy and spread out and many places to spend time together. We loved using the kayaks and the snorkel gear down in the water just in front of the house. Being able to kayak over to Moriah Cay and the islands across the way was a perfect day for us. We spent one morning taking a yoga class down on the pier and having massages upstairs by the pool (Dunnia from island wellness spa). Every question that we had or anything that we wished for Monica and Krissy were as responsive as any host we have ever had. Receiving a note from the owner, a gift on each bed, and a message after we checked out was a really nice special touch. We look forward to visiting again!

Phenomenal Place to Stay in Exuma

My family has been too Great Exuma, Little Exuma, and Long Island, Bahamas several times and stayed in four other very nice villas. This villa is on the top of that list. The house is great, the pool and hot tub are fantastic, and the views are the best on the island. If you want to be directly on a beach, then this is not the house for you, but if you want the best views, accommodations, location, pool, hot tub, and are in to boating in Exuma, then this is the house. You can kayak a very short distance across calm and shallow waters in Moriah Harbor to the best sand bars/beaches in the area. You can and should rent a boat from Island Exclusive Boat Rentals and keep it at the house for a week or more. Get the 21 or 23-foot boat, you won't regret it. In the evenings, I caught nice size Nassau Grouper and Yellow Tail Snapper from the dock on a hand line with squid and cut up small bait fish that I caught with the squid. Was a blast and a fun way to end the day before dinner. This house was newly renovated after COVID and is fantastic. Monica, the house manager, is awesome and very responsive. She bought our groceries and delivered them to the house prior to arrival and she met us at the airport, and we followed her in our rental car to the house. This house is worth every penny and if you like to boat, kayak, fish, and are not afraid of a little adventure to get to the various cays, beaches and sandbars that are very close by, then this house is the one!

Bahari House was magical! Our family of four had a wonderful time soaking up the sun and beauty of Exuma. Bahari House has everything you need and an amazing host and staff to ensure everything is perfect! The kitchen is very well stocked, bed super comfortable, showers great!! We really appreciated the generator and Starlink internet after a big storm took our cellular service and power for about 24 hours. We spent days by the pool, loved kayaking over to the sandbars across and even managed (although no easy task) to make it with the kayaks to the Cut/Lazy River in the Moriah National Park too. You can snorkel and see fish and turtles right off the dock. Depending on your arrival time have Monica and Krissy set you up with some groceries, salad, and a lasagna you can throw in the oven after check-in. Nola and Guido (with some help from Krissy) made us two wonderful dinners at home so we could just enjoy our time together on the patio and in the gorgeous pool. Lastly Monica was unbelievably responsive and helpful when we hit a few snags including a flight delay and our boat rental falling through. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing luxury rental overlooking the gorgeous sea - then Bahari House is for you!

Could not recommend this property more! Location is stunning, house is in perfect condition, grounds are excellently maintained by Jhon, pool view is a 10, and Monica responds immediately to everything. As a mom other important things to know are that the A/C units, WiFi, washer & dryer, and dishwasher work perfectly! Filtered water is available in the kitchen as well as bottled water. Things I would recommend are rent a boat to take over to the most beautiful beaches in the world. You can kayak over but if it’s windy it’s a bit of work. The dock is maintained excellently but be aware for older people it is a hike back up. Go to Blu for dinner and stock up on groceries in George Town. There are no other restaurants within 15-20 minutes from the house for dinner. Cooking was easy in the kitchen. You can go to the Rusty Anchor for lunch in February Point or Peace and Plenty hotel in town. We took our boat to the Cocunut Club and Chill and Chat but I would not recommend the food. In George Town there is a cute wine and cocktail bar you should visit across from the grocery store! Good wine selection and great cocktails:) Buy your meat at the butcher shop when driving in from the airport. Plenty of beach towels provided, snorkels, and the outdoor living area is incredible. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and just relax in the ocean and home:)

It was more than 40 years ago, that we first came to the Exumas to spend our honeymoon in a small tent on an almost even smaller island called Osprey Cay. Since then the Bahamas and especially the Exumas have stayed with us and we have spent countless beautiful days here. Many years later, more precisely 5 years ago we finally found one of the most beautiful places in the Bahamas and decided to build a house right here in Great Exuma, overlooking the breathtaking waters of Moriah Harbour and the ocean. In the meantime our Bahari House has become the most desired place for our family to spend wonderful and exciting vacations. We build Bahari House so that we can share the beauty of the Exumas with guests, family and friends. The Bahari Family

This place is so beautiful also because of its a fantastic location on the turquoise sea of the Exumas. Every day surprises you with new impressions and views of the water, beaches and islands in front of the house. You can't get enough of the beautiful light and the unique colors of the sea and when a few dolphins or spotted eagle rays swim by in front of the dock, it's hard to beat. Countless, dreamlike white and powder-soft beaches, directly in the bay in front of the house make this place so unique. Also a large garden around the house with beautiful old trees gives this place its own island flair. Bahari House has all luxuries you need for a dream holiday.
