Cozy Lake Ontario Lakefront Cottage - Welcome to the Gates Loch House

Welcome to the Gates Loch House. Open for rentals in the summer of 2024. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets on our relaxing 1 acre, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom property. Cottage has been recently renovated for your comfort and enjoyment! Cottage boasts a full, eat-in kitchen and living room with record player, board games, coloring books and art supplies, TV, streaming services, and Wifi.

Guests will love our beautiful 110 feet of lovely Lake Ontario bliss! Guests can currently access the water via our break wall. Adirondack chairs, kayaks, life jackets, lawn games, firepit area, black stone grill, and deck seating are all available for guests to enjoy.

As a bonus, we invite 2 adult guests staying ONE full week or more at the Loch House to enjoy a round of golf on us!! During your stay, stop by the White Birch Restaurant and Golf Course and putter around their beautiful 9 hole course, surrounded by majestic white birch trees. No reservations are taken and we do suggest arriving for an early tee time.

There is so much to do right here in Lyndonville and surrounding areas. Here’s a short list of some of our favorite nearby destinations and attractions:

Wonderful place for a relaxing stay

The property was wonderful. Great location on the lake, great amenities, very beautiful place and very quiet location. The house was cute and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, Serene and Cozy

Adorable little cottage right on the lake. Access to kayaks was amazing. My kids had a blast. Hosts were wonderful to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

Lake Ontario Trip

Very nice little cottage for a quiet, relaxing little getaway. Very pretty view of the lake. Loved that there was a bonfire pit right next to the lake, enjoyed a beautiful night out by the lake. Beautiful area, also just really loved the drive/ride to get there!

Great Lakes Vacation

We had a great two days at this property--the view of Lake Ontario was perfect and the sunset was phenomenal! We appreciated all Elizabeth did to make us feel at home from the personal touches of a welcome basket & the generosity of sharing her pantry and refrigerator items with us!! A great stay and hoping to travel back that way in the future.

Lovely Spring Getaway

We had a lovely time staying at this cottage on the lake. Its a small place but plenty enough space for our little family of four. The location on the lake is beautiful! We had a lovely little campfire on the bank and enjoyed our weekend immensely. We will absolutely consider returning in the future!

Gates Loch House

Great stay at beautiful location. Family of 3 Adults. Hosts were more than accommodating. Perfect for a serene vacation. Shop local grocery for great grilling nights. Thank you Elizabeth and Josh for a wonderful stay. Anyone who goes to your cottage is in for a nice get away.

Gem by the Lake

Our stay at the cottage was great. The place was just as described in the listing. It was very well stocked and clean. Check-in process was easy and flexible. The host had great communication throughout our stay. Sunsets were beautiful and we made use of the kayaks out on the lake. We would most definitely stay here again.

Lake stay

Beautiful lake front property. Great communication and attentive owner. We were in the area for a high school reunion so didn’t have time to cook or really enjoy the lake during the day. We made lovely campfires and had a beautiful swim one morning. Enjoyed just sitting by the lake!

relaxing get away

After a month of hosting guests for our Mom's 90th birthday we were SO ready for a quiet, not too far from home retreat. The little cottage on the lake was PERFECT!! I love to cold dip and took advantage of the Lake access. Not much else around but we were prepared and it was exactly what we needed!

Perfect Getaway

This property truly is a GEM!! It is perfect for a short or long getaway! The cottage is clean and fully stocked, so cozy. The grounds are well kept and also fully stocked with all kinds of activities for everyone. The views are breathtaking and so relaxing. The owners were so easy to communicate with and were so tentative to our needs. We booked the property for our 10th anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The surrounding areas just made it a bonus for our trip! We had an amazing time and can’t wait to return!
