Clean but very basic flat with a view

A very minimalist, basic level of accommodation with a fantastic view over the balcony parapet. Our holiday was hampered by a lack of any written information about the flat. Finding e.g, towels was a chore, not to mention the parking space. We never did find toilet paper or the advertised soaps. Several things were broken, including two of the doors to the balcony, the front door key and something in the bathroom drain that made it stink to high heaven. One of the two lifts was broken all through our stay, and the other did not work as we were leaving, so had to lug everything down the stairs. On a positive note, Tina booked a couple rides for us with an excellent taxi driver. However, luxury this is not.

Great Weekend, Excellent Host

We were a group of friends visiting for the first time Serbia, and what a very enjoyable weekend. Tina picked up us at the airport, and she drove us around the touristic places, showing us around restaurants, historical places, monuments, markets; etc. The apartment, was clean, close to shops and restaurants and to move from there to any other part of the city was easy (central taxi station at 30 mts) was super convenient. I strongly recommend this flat and Tina, I sincerely arrived as a tourist and I left as a friend. Thank you Tina and hopefully we see each other soon! All the best, Oscar

Nichts zu verbessern!

Sehr gute Lage im Stadtzentrum und dennoch sehr ruhig, sehr herzlicher Empfang, gute Tipps und Unterstützung, saubere, praktische Wohnung, Dachterrasse mit Rundsicht auf Belgrad, grosser Markt mit Frischprodukten in Fussdistanz, Klimaanlage, Lift, bequeme Betten, alleswas man braucht ist da. Nochmals herzlichen Dank, liebe Tina!

Schöne Penthouse-Ferienwohnung

Grosszügiges Wohnen über den Dächern von Belgrad im 9. Stock. Der Blick von der Dachterasse war fantastisch.-allerdings im Stehen. Die Wohnung liegt schön in einem netten Viertel von Belgrad. Zum Hotel Moskau ist es etwa eine viertelstunde zu Fuß oder zwei Stationen mit dem Bus. Busfahrkarte kaufen lohnt sich. Wir wurden von unserer Gastgeberin Tina per SMS mit tollen Restaurant-Tips versorgt, die alle auch in der Nachbarschaft lagen wie Villa Maska (da waren wir zweimal sogar mit einer deutschen Freundin/Kollegin) oder Frans. Das Internet (WLAN )ist ohne PIN und wir waren zunächst wohl bei einer Nachbarwohnung zugange, bis ich bemerkte, dass unser router ohne Strom war und wir dann das wohnungseigene WLAN aktivieren konnten..Tina haben wir gar nicht persönlich kennengelernt, da sie als Freiwillige im Flutkatastrophenkrisengebiet sich engagiert hat. Tina war aber extrem hilfsbereit und hat uns nachts um halb eins bei einem Problem mit einem Taxifahrer geholfen, der von uns einen total überhöhten Preis verlangte. Zitat "einfach aussteigen" Wir wurden von Seka betreut.Wir würden diese Wohnung wieder anmieten.

Excellent location, bright atmosphere, caring host

The listing description and photos are accurate. At arrival we were welcomed with clean and well maintained facilities. The location offers even more than advertised. Rigth in front of the building is a 24/7 neighbourhood store. Belgrade's top attraction is several steps up the street, as well the most charming cafe corner stores with view of Cathedral Saint Sava and park with colour fountain and playground. ATM, currency exchange, pharmacy, health food stores, supermarket, restaurants and fresh food market are all around the block, yet it is the most calm, safe, central and well-kept neighbourhood we visited in Belgrade. The owner was more than helpful in all our queries regarding what to do, where to go and went far-out of her way to create a memorable stay for us. We recommended this beautiful apartment to our daughter visiting Belgrade in fall and to anyone else wanting to experience high quality home away from home and exceptional location!

Highly ranked!

The apartment is located in a great location, not far from center. Cathedral on the same street bells. Host was very helpful and recommended many good eating places. All in all the apartment is well equipped and has everything you need.

We spent 6 days in Penthouse Saint in Sept/13

Our host Tina was wonderful in every regard including making arrangements for us to be met at the airport. The apt is serviced by an elevator and a keyed entrance for excellent security. It would be large enough for up to four persons comfortably and is quiet and private with respect to any external noise. We were attending the Davis Cup tennis event in Belgrade and Tina arranged transportation throughout our stay which was very helpful. Right across the street was a handy grocery store with all the basics and staff who spoke good English. A very good restaurant called Franz was located within a 15 min walk and is highly recommended. Money can be easily exchanged at currency exchange offices nearby as the Dinar is the Serbian official currency. Would highly recommend the penthouse to anyone wanting to be treated in a friendly and professional manner, Thanks again, Tina and Alex!! Your Canadian friends Stu and Judi !!

Great Location & Great Host

This apartment was a fantastic place to stay. We were there for 3 nights and were able to walk to most parts of the city within a reasonable amount of time. The area felt safe, and the hidden restaurants in the neighborhood were charming and delicious. The patio outside is a nice quiet place to sit at night and enjoy the fresh air above the city, and has a good view. I would recommend no more then 3-4 people stay in this place, as 5 people would probably feel a bit cramped. That being said, the place was clean, and well laid-out. The BEST thing about this place was our host. Tina did absolutely everything she could to make our stay enjoyable, including recommending fantastic restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes, beaches and attractions. She was always friendly, available to ask questions, and even invited us out a few times! When she found out that it was my birthday, she even got us reservations at a beautiful little restaurant on the water and planned a fun evening of bar-hopping. All-in-all. Go for it, Tina will make your experience fantastic.

Worth every penny!

Our first impression on the web presentation of Penthouse Saint was:hm, very elegante and impressive, but what about the price? Well, you have to admit, Belgrade rentals are quite inexpensive, but you'll most likley end up with low comfort accomodations (looking at the listing pictures). We have falling in love with Penthouse Saint, every penny invested in those 10 days just worth it! We have checked in with a travel group of 5 and spend per day a lot less then in hotels, with the comfords of cooking, checking your mails easily in the apartment office or having BBQ at night outside on the giant terrace, what a value pack! All restaurants, bars, parks, shoping and grocery within walking distance. We are very enthusiastic about our stay in Penthouse Saint and will never forget!

Aussergewöhnlich schöne Penthouse Apartment

Unser Belgrad Aufenthalt im November 2012 war der dritte in diesem Jahr. Wir wünschten uns eher zu dieser wunderschönen Penthouse Wohnung gekommen zu sein. So hätten wir sehr viel Geld gespart. Der Preisvorteil im Vergleich zu anderen Belgrad Wohnungen ist sehr enorm. Ausserdem ist Heizung, Klima und warmes Wasser nicht Standart in allen Belgrad Wohnungen. In Penthouse Saint ist alles auf höchstem Niveau. Ein aussergewöhnlich schönes Penthouse, auch International sticht dieses Objekt sehr hervor. Für zukünftige Reisen nach Belgrad können wir nur Penthouse Saint empfehlen!

Excellent Location, Service & Vacation!

We have been traveling Europe for 3 months, this Penthouse has been definatley the highlight of our Vacation! Best VIP viewpoint of Belgrade from the huge terrace, great apartment facilities & feel good factor, day light-flooded, comfortable access to all City activities, especially to the highway driveway! Superb service from the landlord & Team, we've been picked up from the airport, got a sightseeing tour for "insiders" and experienced far more then we expected from our Vacation! We're all ready packing suitcases for our second trip and are highly recommending this lovely Penthouse to anyone with good taste! Thank You for making our stay memorable in every aspect!

Great location, space, views & parking

You can't beat this penthouse for location and views, plus it has secure indoor parking which is fairly unusual in Belgrade. It's also fairly quiet, a well-lit, sunny space with a happy vibe. And the bathroom water uses tankless heating so you can take nice long showers without fear of running out of water or having to remember to turn on a tank hours before your shower. The Internet connection was good for Belgrade, but wired only, no wifi. The lighting fixtures are stylish and fun, but dreadful for reading in bed or on the sofa. The apartment is *very* well heated even on really cold days. The biggest downside is we had a frequent nasty smell from the bathroom pipes. It goes away if you squirt water down them, but then comes back again in a few hours. The landlord said it's unusual to have so much smell, but it's normal for that area of town. My own plumber said it's due to inept renovation - the pipes may not have been installed correctly to keep sewage smells from coming up. We stayed for a month. I would rent the apartment again, no problem, but only in months when I could keep the windows open for fresh air!
