Our log cabin was completed in July of 2010 on 7.5 acres we fell in love with the first time we saw the property in March of 2009. Call 812-726-4849, check out our website turkeyhillcabinrentals. This part of southern Indiana is so unique. The view reminds us of our many trips to eastern TN. We never get tired of seeing wild turkeys and white-tailed deer walking across the front yard. Since we are a mile off the main road and at the end of the lane, no traffic passes by. Couples and families have enjoyed our cabin. With solid log construction and wood through-out, this cabin is set apart from others.
This quiet retreat area is just minutes away from a wide range of activities. Guest often comment that there is so much to do. You can enjoy Patoka Lake with all its boating, fishing, etc. Go to Indiana's playground in historic French Lick, IN. Not many small towns can offer a world class casino and golfing, indoor water park and go-carting, seasonal train rides into the Hoosier National Forest, local winery with a wonderful sample of Indiana's best wines, two historically registered hotels to tour, Paoli Peaks Snow skiing, and more.

Good family spot

Enjoyed ourselves in the cabin. Was at dead end road so didn’t have noises (other than our kids). Cabin was wonderful, kids really enjoyed the hot tub. Great place!!

Cutest French Lick Cabin

Our stay at the cabin was so enjoyable! My husband and I visited for a birthday trip and it was such a cute place. Located about 10 minutes from French Lick, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country and still pop into town for dinner or shopping. The cabin is small, but still had enough space for us to enjoy. The hot tub was nice, though the jets don't work very well. The upstairs sleeping loft was roomy, though the stairs are very steep. Kitchen was very well equipped. The hammocks in the front yard were great too! The check in procedure was very simple and the hosts were so sweet and accomodating. We had a great time!

Peaceful Cabin on a Hill

Turkey Hill cabin is clean and well equipped. Just bring food, sit back, relax, and in a few minutes the cabin feels like home. The cabin is a place to go when you want to see stars at a bonfire and enjoy the quiet but it is a short drive to French Lick and West Baden resorts. This is a return trip so that is the best recommendation I can give!

Perfect quaint cabin

I loved our stay. The cabin was great and we loved how remote it felt despite it only being a short distance from downtown. We plan to come back very soon.

Fabulous

The house was great and had everything we needed. And more. Super clean and comfortable. We loved it. Millie was awesome to work with, very thoughtful. Our cell service wasn’t terribly reliable but we were happy to disconnect for a few hours every day.

This is a great little cabin, close to French Lick and many other activities. The cabin is very well supplied and very clean. The host is great and we will be staying here again

Beautiful cottage’

It was a cozy comfortable cottage. Well stocked and very clean. The setting was beautiful…a good place to get away from it all. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend!

My family and I stayed at the cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin is quaint, but everything is well organized so we never felt cramped. The property is wonderful. It is near the owner's home but still very secluded. The owner brought us fresh Indiana tomatoes and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The front porch was my favorite spot. My husband loved the huge firepit with firewood on site, where we enjoyed making smores. And my children loved the hot tub. We saw whitetail deer on the property every day. The onsite washer and dryer allowed us to pack light. The cabin is only 15 minutes away from the heart of French Lick. We ate at local restaurants, shopped at Bear Hollow, and hiked the trails behind the casino. We made a trip to Holiday World an hour away, and we had a day on Patoka Lake. The cabin owner had tons of brochures with things to do nearby, and there were recommendations for the best vendors to use. The surround sound system in the living room and the recliners made for a great home theater experience. If the weather had been cooler, we could have tried out the fireplace. We definitely plan to return someday soon!

The most peaceful place we have ever been.

We have stayed there before. Each time it has been so peaceful and relaxing. Not having traffic noise is just unexplainable. We live next to a State Forest, but our road has become busier and busier. It is much more peaceful here. Millie was more than helpful, she was like a good friend. She made it easier for us to get away. This will always be one of our favorite getaways. Thanks Millie

Amazing

We had an amazing time, everything we need was there! Our favorite part of course was the hot tub!! Only thing…. The shower was out of hot water very quickly. We would definitely stay again!!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We had the perfect weekend at the cabin. It had everything we needed to cook meals. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub on the back patio. We experienced and unexpected (80 degrees and sunny) power outage and the owners did not hesitate to bring a generator so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. It was the perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet away from reality! Thank you so much we’ll definitely be back!

Adorable cabin. Perfect location.

We enjoyed our weekend at this cabin celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday. Millie is wonderful with communication, the cabin is asorables, and it's perfectly located on a beautiful hillside, but still a short drive to town. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Family of 4

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at this cabin! Plenty of space inside for our 3 night stay, and lots of relaxing, quiet space outside as well. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The view was lovely & the hot tub was relaxing. While in the area, we enjoyed hiking in national forest areas & the Total Solar Eclipse!

Weekend with kids

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this property with our children. The place was just as advertised, clean and cozy. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub plus the beautiful yard to run around and explore. It was nice to be out of the city but still a short drive to all the activities in French Lick. The hosts were excellent communicators and plenty of information in the cabin to help guests access TV/kitchen items/etc. Definitely will be back- maybe without the kids for a more relaxing time!

We are Terry & Millie Giltner. This shows us with our 2 grandchildren who we love to spend time with as well our 2 daughters, son and son-in-law. We have a background in building log homes so building this vacation rental on property which we plan to also retire to was an amazing adventure. Living an hour away we manage and clean the cabin ourselves because we truly enjoy the time we spend on Turkey Hill.
