Peaceful Gathering Place with 12 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Game Tables and Pool!

This spacious (over 6,300 square foot) 12 bedroom, 7 bath home on over 10 acres is the perfect gathering place where everyone can be together under one roof yet have privacy! It's the perfect place for a family reunion or to celebrate that birthday party or anniversary with your loved ones.

Enjoy these fun extras: ping pong table, pool table, basketball hoop, foosball table, sunroom, huge porch swing, pickleball court, volleyball net, playground, grill and a firepit.

Only 7 miles to Notre Dame Stadium and 3 minutes to restaurants and shopping.

We have enjoyed hosting many groups for the Notre Dame Football games. Graduations, sports and team gatherings, bible retreats, work bonding/team building and family reunions and get togethers. We would love to host you next!

When you stay with us we provide a starter pack:
2 rolls of TP in each bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, soap, make-up wipes (please use them) trash bags, laundry and dishwasher soap. 1 paper towel and 1 tank of propane.

Great home for larger multi family gathering. We could spread out throughout the home - several living rooms, play rooms (for all ages) , game rooms for board games/cards, and seating for most at dinner time. We enjoyed the oversized porch swing and of course the pool!! There were 2 refrigerators/ovens which was especially helpful since one of the ovens wasn't working properly. There were several minor items that needed repair, but did not hamper our stay. They were communicated to the host who was attentive to them. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Johnston cousins reunion

Host was very communicative and helpful. Great house for large groups. Our group was nine adults and needed nine bedrooms…we fit very comfortably. Eating and common areas were spacious and comfortable. Overall great experience.

Bob was an incredible guest. I would love to host him again in the future. Bob had clear communication, obeyed the house rules and cleaned up well. Don't hesitate to host. Great guest!

ND football weekend

We had a great weekend at The Gathering Place. We had 19 family members. The property had plenty of room for all of us to hang out comfortably. The porch is a great place to spend the evening with family.

If you're looking for a home with LOTS OF ROOM, this is the one for you!! It's huge! Plenty of room to spread out for sure! (We actually lost one of our kiddos in the house in a random bedroom taking a nap) :0) The pool was a great reprieve for the hot weather! I will say that it is somewhat dated and may need some updates aesthetically. (Upstairs bathrooms specifically) One of the oven doors doesn't close all the way and needs repaired. We also had to buy a tank of propane because they were empty after one use. (Whoever takes care of the details may need to have a checklist of some things). All these things were reported to the host, so hopefully they will be taken care of for the next renter.It's close enough to drive to Lake Michigan for the day which is a blessing to be able to have both the lake and countryside living....yet so close to town for all the things!

The property is AMAZING! More than we ever expected. Very clean. Holly is easy to work with and is exceptionally responsive. Highly recommend this property if you have a large group.

A Perfect Family Gathering Spot

I have had mixed results with VRBO in terms of accurate listings, but this one is absolutely spot on in terms of delivering what it promises and more. We travelled a long way to reconnect with our family, and we wanted a place where we could all relax, the adults could reconnect, and the children (age range of 3 to 19) could enjoy a variety of activities. The Gathering Place was absolutely perfect! Everyone found something to do: either the swimming pool, or the pickle ball courts, or indoor child's play room, or ping pong, or watching the olympics, and literal acres to roam. Holly, the host, was very helpful in checking in and out and responsive to all our questions. The location is private but super convenient for any needs in town. It felt like a home as well, not a dorm or a party spot, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A gem in South Bend.

Holly was amazing to work with!She was incredibly helpful, and easy to work with in planning our visit!The home has incredible living/gathering spaces both inside and out! And the front porch swing was wonderful! Well stocked kitchen! Only caution when bringing a large group is to pay attention to the bedroom configurations (trundle beds) with the number of adults coming.We ranged in ages from 3-84 and it was perfect for everyone!! Thank you Holly!

Our family loves providing a place where we can bring families together! The Gathering Place is perfect for Family Reunions, Family Birthday Celebrations, and attending events at Notre Dame-only 7 miles away. It feels and little country and is peaceful but is only 3-4 minutes from a Walmart and restaurants. Our families favorites are Chick-fil-A and Texas Roadhouse.

Over 10 acres of peace and quite and room to play but close to shopping and restaurants and Notre Dame. You can't beat the location!

We have room for a big crowd. With 12 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms we can comfortably host up to 30 guests. When you book, you get a lot of the fun built right in. We have a pickleball court, soccer goals, volleyball, basketball, game tables, a game room, and a fun playroom for the little ones.
