Enjoy lake Champlain sunsets from the private shale beach of the cabin that our family has treasured for four generations.

Excellent base camp for biking.

Fire ring, grill, and beach campfires permitted.

best place in the world for skipping stones.

The cottage has 1 bedroom, plus a full sized futon in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, microwave, pots/pans and dishes. water equipment includes: Aluminum canoe, paddles and pfd's. Just minutes from Button Bay state park and Basin Harbor. The Basin Harbor Club has golfing and dining, and Button Bay State Park is a short bike ride away with nature trails and a pool. Vergennes is only 15 minutes away, Middlebury 25 and Burlington 40 minutes. Pets allowed with extra refundable security deposit.

please note: The cabin is a short (1 minute) downhill walk from the parking area and is not wheelchair accessible. The beach is directly below the cabin and is accessible by a regulation staircase.

We had a great stay at the cabin. Excellent swimming in the lake right below the cabin. Caught an Independence Day fireworks display directly across the lake, and beautiful sunsets over the Adirondacks. Comfortable space, quiet setting. Lots to do in the area and a great host.

Great place! We would stay here again. Only request would be to have hot water in the shower. When it's in the 40's and raining a hot shower would be nice!

Fantastic mountain views and sunsets from the private beach on the property. Although neighbors are quite close by the camp is quiet and feels very private. Everything was exactly as described; in addition to the lake the area seems superb for bicycling; mostly flat with corn fields and lake/mountain scenery. The small city of Vergennes is close by and fairly active; there is a good sized well supplied grocery store. Saw eagles over the lake from the camp’s deck.

Wonderful quiet spot!

Cottage is at unique location and has all the facilities for staying some relaxed days. Really a wonderful quiet place, great for relaxing days, telework or spend some quality time days.

Great cabin on lake champlain

The perfect rustic cabin on Lake Champlain. The host Teo was great. Had everything you can could need at the cabin. Beautiful sunset, very private. Had everything I was looking for!

This cabin is located amidst the cedar trees on the hillside of Lake Champlain. The view of the mountains is breathless! Very private. Easy check in and out. The historic cabin is rustic.

Private and beautiful

Beautiful private wooded lot with a large deck overlooking the lake. Cool lake breezes and perfect sunsets. Great location. Wineries, Breweries, Restaurants, and Bike trails galore. Don't miss getting a maple cremee with maple sprinkles. Host was amazing!

The cabin, setting & location are beautiful. The property manager is very attentive & helpful. An incident occurred with the property during our stay that didn't effect our stay but was addressed because of the professionalism of the manager. I recommend anyone looking for a cabin on Lake Champlain with privacy & beauty to try The Spencer Cabin!

Classic Summer Cabin

Enjoy the simple charm of this secluded cabin in the woods with stunning views of the lake and mountains; nothing fancy but all that you need.It was nice to find extra amenities like seasonings, paper products, shampoo, soaps, and a welcoming bouquet of flowers! Gorgeous sunsets over the mountains and the shale beach is so interesting, while the area has so much history.

Lovely lakeside cabin

This is a lovely classic lakeside cottage/cabin, beautifully situated on Lake Champlain, looking out at the Adirondacks. It’s a small and simple place, but it has everything you need – – and that’s sort of what you want when escaping to the lake! Teo is a great host and very responsive. It’s a nice area with Vergennes offering a good nearby town, access to the mountains, and all the charms and history of Lake Champlain itself.

An excellent place to get away from the every day nonsense in this world. Teo, the host, is easy to contact. This is an excellent place if you like hiking. Many good trails around, as well as state parks. We enjoyed our stay.

The view from the deck was amazing! The cabin is rustic but clean & neat! Area was quiet except for the loons which was wonderful! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Teo was a fantastic host and was more than helpful with any and all questions. My wife and I had a fantastic trip and I can't say enough great things about this property. From the view, lakefront access, privacy, and overall coziness of this cabin, we can't wait to come back again next year!

Incredibly private cottage in a picture perfect setting. Cushions for the deck furniture, grill, fire pit, fire starters, bathroom nightlight, coffee maker and filters…everything we needed. WiFi was faster than our house.
