Perfect location for peace and quiet, yet still close enough to Omaha for day trips into the city. We had family staying in Mahoney State Park, which is just a few minutes drive from the property. The kids enjoyed the SAC Museum and the safari park nearby.

Great property overall and location was perfect for all of the things we wanted to do. Clean and comfy. Pots and pans were scratched up and could be updated, and the hot water heater is small so we had to stagger showers. We would definitely stay again though!

Enjoyable family stay

Very clean and comfortable, location was great for visiting Mahoney State Park as well as the Omaha Zoo. We were able to cook in every night for dinner and enjoyed the back porch a lot. We did see some elk from the wildlife safari park from the back porch the first night, too, which was fun.

This place was exactly what we needed for our stay. Close to eagle raceway and right next door to a nice drive through safari.

A beautiful, spacious home that is even better in person! The master bedroom, bunk room, and bathrooms are huge, and the kitchen has all the essentials you need. The only downside is the strong smell from the adjacent safari, which unfortunately kept us from enjoying the outdoor space. While that is completely out of anyone's control, the house itself is fantastic, and I highly recommend a stay here.

Great Cabin close to family fun activities

This cabin was great! Beautiful cabin tucked away with a view of the Elk at the safari park. We enjoyed trips to Platte River State Park, plenty of outdoor walks/fun and cooking at the cabin. It is well stocked and beautifully decorated.

Great property! Furnished with many amenities and very comfortable. We even saw the elk herd since we are so close to the safari park! The two full bathrooms were wonderful to have. Would definitely recommend!

Family Getaway

Amazing view! Has a well appointed kitchen, very clean bathrooms, and plenty of space for our extended family. Super close to the Safari, the SAC museum and 2 state parks. We had a great weekend.

Girls weekend away

It was a very nice place. Much larger than we thought. The shouse was right next to the Safari which was very cool. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and had a Great overall stay.

College Reunion Weekend

Stayed here with 6 college friends for a 10 year reunion. We enjoyed Downtown Ashland and it was a great place to relax for the weekend! Clean and responsive hosts for questions we had!

Relax

Great place to sit back relax and enjoy. Plenty of stocked items to cookout on the grill and enjoy the peace and quiet. Plenty of seating and fire pit on patio with bags and plenty of room for more games. Host was very prompt, friendly and helpful.

My friends and I stayed at this property for a girls weekend and loved it!! Two of my friends who are great cooks both commented on how well-stocked this kitchen was with all of the needed pots, pans, and utensils. The hosts were very kind and flexible and responded to all of our requests very quickly. The beds were comfortable, the space was very clean, and the location is perfect! You're close to Ashland and Omaha but also get the benefit of a quiet, countryside stay. The back deck was perfect to sit on to watch the sunrise or in the evenings when the weather cooled down. We really enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Ashland!

Wonderful time!

Thank you so much for a lovely time! Coloring, Playing with sidewalk chalk, Perfect weather, Stargazing with our telescope, watching Annie on the giant TV, playing games, going for walks and identifying animal tracks, spotting turkeys, elk, kitties, baby birds and momma birds, playing in water, bean bags, grilling out, etc. Such a wonderful time!

Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property inside. Nice 1 level where you can be together in a wide open space. Comfy bed in the master. Well stocked. Great location! Close to many things to do. Good communication with owner. Only reason for 4 stars is that the water heater did not serve a 12 person property. Only 2 people were able to take average length showers before it went cold. Kind of a big deal when we stayed 2 days. But, if the water heater was fixed, we’d absolutely come back because we had a great time!

It does appear your crew exceeded the 12 person limit during the days - that might’ve had something to do with it. But we hope your celebration was a success aside from a cold shower.

Our stay at Elk View Ranch for our women's fall retreat was nothing short of spectacular. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, offering massive open spaces that were perfect for our group activities, workshops, and reflection. One of the biggest highlights was the incredible view—we spent hours just looking out at the Safari Park, which provided a truly unique, serene, and magical backdrop for our weekend.Inside, the home accommodated our group effortlessly. The roomy bedrooms provided plenty of private space, and the super comfy beds guaranteed that everyone got a fantastic night's sleep. To top it all off, the hosts made everything completely stress-free with incredibly easy check-in and check-out instructions. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take advantage of the firepit during this trip, but it looked like a wonderful spot to gather!It was the ultimate setting for connection and relaxation. We will definitely be back for our next retreat!

Fantastic hidden Gem! Close enough to everything yet completely private. The kids had plenty of room to run. Inside plenty of room to spread out and very clean. We saw elk from our back patio and had a large couch inside for everyone to snuggle in for a movie. 10/10 would stay here again. Great for our family vacation to the zoo, airplane museum and wildlife park!

Awesome house, very clean and had everything we needed! Loved all the games available and the deck area! Got to hear the elk bugling too. Close to so many great state parks. Coffee maker and coffee available was great too. Host responded right away when we asked any questions! Quiet area and so relaxing!! Highly recommend this house.
