This is a beautiful, spacious, yet cozy home tucked away in the mountains. 12 grown men had plenty of room, there’s an upstairs kitchen so you can cook for an army, and it’s so conveniently located for golf and the casinos. The host was spectacular in being communicative and accommodating. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Amazing house! The home has ample space, it is equipped with everything you could need and is in a great location. Would recommend to anyone looking for a family getaway or a retreat with friends!

Had a great trip with the whole family (dogs included!!!) - everyone had their own bedroom thanks to the unique layout of this very cool mountain house. Particular favorite was the game room- we now have all the high scores in dig-dug. We made it to the casino, out to do some tubing at deep creek- and to the gem mine- all very close by!! Will be back!!

This house is amazing for a large group. We had a great time and there was plenty of room for the kids to play inside and out. Everything thing was clean and organized. Hope to stay again sometime.

Everything about this house is fantastic! Very comfortable, had everything you could need, and close proximity to tons of a activities. We will definitely be back!

We had the most amazing stay at this home. It was very spacious and clean and in close proximity to the Polar Express. I would highly recommend. Great for multiple families!!

All communication for this booking was very clear, detailed and accurate. Mountain Terrace was the perfect lodging for our group of 16, including 7 kids. Amenities we're nice. tThere was something for everyone, from the toddlers to the tweens and teens. Our only regret is we wish we could stay there longer!
Our group of 16 came for The Polar Express train ride. Our elve found us and made a shoe-shoe train by the door! The cabin is very spacious.

Perfect mountain house for a large group visiting the Cherokee/Whittier area! Very spacious, plenty of bedrooms, and awesome entertainment areas if you plan to stay in. Communication from the host was top notch as well. 5 stars

Family Vacation

It was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed staying at this lovely house. It was so large and had so many seating areas we had plenty of room to spread out. We would love to come again.

Beautiful place to stay with prvacy huge kitchen and dining areas

Everyone had their privacy in the house, however a very large kitchen, dining and family gathering areas. Close to everything we wanted to do such as water sports and hiking areas.

Great family weekend!

Had a great stay for a family trip to the Polar Express. 4 families had plenty of room and the kids loved the space to explore and play outside. We will stay again!

Family Friendly Stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home! There was space for our large multi-family group and the property was very kid friendly. They especially enjoyed the old school video games and the playground! The property was very clean and very well stocked - plenty of kitchen items to cook meals, a large fridge, etc. Our group is looking forward to a return visit!

Thanksgiving at the Lodge

The lodge is a terrific place to stay. We had our kids and grandkids (ages 4 to 16) there for Thanksgiving, and everyone enjoyed themselves. We've never stayed in a place so clean and well stocked. The setup for the children was especially nice, from the outdoor play area to the playroom under the stairs to the game room, and all the TV's were really nice.

The house was perfect for six retired guys on a motorcycle vacation. There was plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. The garage is large and the parking area was sufficient for 3 vehicles and trailers and we didn't even use the parking area by the upper level. There was a potential incoming hurricane so the host allowed us to push our dates back a couple days which really helped as we had nice weather the entire trip. The location was great with Bryson City and Dillsboro only 15 mins away. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Outstanding Experience

I was looking for a review category where I thought there may be room for improvement, but I cannot find one. The check-in/out process was seamless, property was very clean and accommodating, and management was extremely responsive/flexible. I would strongly recommend this property for any large groups visiting the area.

My family of 11 just completed a week stay and all 11 agreed this house and everything was great. The host (Christina) was outstanding in quickly responding to any of our requests and was genuinely caring and understanding of any concerns we had. We were informed ahead of our stay that 1 of the A/C units had gone out just prior to our arrival and she quickly made arrangements to have it replaced. Beyond the basics such as cleanliness, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds, this house featured several things I find necessary for our family. There is a large table and enough chairs so that all 11 of our family could enjoy a meal at the same table. There was more than ample comfortable seating in the family room and other lounge areas so that the 5 children under the age of 20 had separate areas they could sit in and enjoy talking, tv, games or napping separate from the adults. I originally thought the “apartment” listed was separated from the main house but was happy to find a connecting door leading into the hall with other upstairs bedrooms. Use of the pool, fitness center and pickleball/tennis courts was a bonus and were used by our family every day. The golfers enjoyed access and proximity to the golf course and driving range. This house met all our requirements and with the addition of a responsive host, we have already begun plans to come back in 2027. It’s not new and modern, but it is clean, comfortable and has been updated over the years.

A perfect Christmas

Our family of 17 stayed here for our annual Christmas family get together. The sleeping space provided was generous in that all had their own bed with room to spare! The kitchen had everything one would need to provide home cooked meals. The two large dining tables were perfect for our meals. The game room was a hit with pac man arcade as was the many board games provided to play. Our family loved the basketball goal outside and enjoyed a competitive game with kids vs the older folks! The polar express was only 15 minutes away which our littles enjoyed with a good Mexican restaurant nearby. Parking at the house was ample since we had four suvs. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay than this mountain home.
